1234-5678 Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I have to see these guys open up for GNR in NY on May 17th...........any good, any notable songs, what kind of shit do they play, etc. etc. All help would be appreciated, thank you.
BUTT Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Shitty metalcore. http://myspace.com/bulletformyvalentine
snuffbox Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 At least its not Avenged Sevenfold...the 'new GnR'.
Paul Stanley Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I have to see that Sevenfold band open up for Coheed and Cambria. Shitty.
Renegade Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I have to see that Sevenfold band open up for Coheed and Cambria. Shitty. Well I saw them with Thrice opening, it can't be much worse than that.
Corey_Lazarus Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Yeah, it can. I mean, for starters...YOU'RE SEEING COHEED & CAMBRIA.
2GOLD Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Yeah, it can. I mean, for starters...YOU'RE SEEING COHEED & CAMBRIA. I don't know man, not much can get worse than Thrice live. They are brutal on the ears.
1234-5678 Posted May 5, 2006 Author Report Posted May 5, 2006 So I shouldn't exactly be too concerned with getting there on time to see these worthless bums? <cue Axl Rose joke>
BUTT Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 I can't believe this is the opening act I get for my $77.85.
BUTT Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 By the way, if Czech Republic knew this thread was indirectly about Guns N' Roses he'd have made three troll posts in here by now.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Good thing you flame-baited me first. Maybe I was aware that it had to do with Guns n Roses, and I didn't feel like saying anything? Is that possible? Come on. I expect this from snuffbox, but not you.
Gary Floyd Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Yeah, it can. I mean, for starters...YOU'RE SEEING COHEED & CAMBRIA. I don't know man, not much can get worse than Thrice live. They are brutal on the ears. You mean there are people who actually like Thrice?
BUTT Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Good thing you flame-baited me first. Maybe I was aware that it had to do with Guns n Roses, and I didn't feel like saying anything? Is that possible? Come on. I expect this from snuffbox, but not you. Dude, it was a joke. The last two GNR threads we had in here you came in and started spouting off about how it's all unimpressive hair metal and GNR are terrible. And sure, that's your opinion and it's fine, but if you started a thread about the Smiths and I came in and just matter-of-factly stated "The Smiths are terrible. Morrissey is a fucking asshole," wouldn't you think that was trolling? It seemed to me that you were just posting to get a reaction. And perhaps I'm wrong, and maybe you felt you had a legitimate reason for coming in and insulting GNR. I don't know. But I'm sorry if I offended you. Come on, Czechy, let's be friends. P.S. My putdowns of Bullet for my Valentine in this thread do not count as trolling due to the fact that we can all agree that they are completely awful
Guest Felonies! Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 I'd only get mad about the first half of your claim. Nobody denies that Morrissey is an ass.
Copper Feel Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 I would question the sanity of anyone who thought Guns N Roses were as good as The Smiths. And outside of the odd track on their debut album Guns N Roses did make unimpressive hair metal.
Corey_Lazarus Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 I would question the sexuality of anybody that listened to The Smiths.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Corey, don't be that way, we've been getting along so well lately. That's a dumb statement.
Corey_Lazarus Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 I'm the L-A-Z, bitch. And Czech, you should know than to even think for a second that half of what I say is serious. I mean...I listen to fucking SOD, for Christ's sake.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 For whatever it's worth, neither of the two gay guys I knew from high school had even heard of the Smiths, much less idolized them.
Art Sandusky Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 I would question the sexuality of anybody that listened to The Smiths. Post of the month.
Corey_Lazarus Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 For whatever it's worth, neither of the two gay guys I knew from high school had even heard of the Smiths, much less idolized them. Yeah...all three gay guys I know prefer Frank Sinatra and No Doubt/Gwen Stefani over The Smiths or new wave in general.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 I wouldn't call them New Wave. They were anti-New Wave inasmuch as they mostly eschewed synthesizers and relied heavily on guitars.
