Has anyone here heard their album "Broken Boy Soldiers"?

I really like the single they've put out in "Steady as she goes" and I'm considering going and picking up the album tomorrow. But before I definatly do, if any body that has listend to the album could tell m what they think.

On an quasi-related note: I'm definatly in the pro-Jack White Coca Cola advert camp. It's good news.

It's a bad idea to buy the album based solely on steady as she goes, since all the other tracks on the album have a much different sound to them. It's still a great album though, with blue veins being my favorite track.

I think I'm probably going to go buy it anyway. I just generally enjoy everything Jack WHite is involved in, from the reviews I've read now, I'm sure this album will go down good with me.

I couldn't find the album in the stores I tried today. I picked up The Raptures album instead and will go get Broken Boy Soldiers tomorrow now, when I'm back in Cardiff.

I don't think it's out until Monday.

I'm a pretty big fan of the White Stripes and Jack White stuff in general (I dig the coke tune) but I find Broken Boy Soldiers incredibly boring. Brendan Benson's solo stuff is kinda sucky, and his suckyness must have seeped onto Jack. But hey, I strongly dislike the single too, so you might dig the whole thing.

Despite coming from the opposite side of the fence (liking Benson/disliking White Stripes) I agree it's a fairly dull record. It's not bad, just kind of forgettable.
