Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 Okay, who had one start in the Kerry Wood injury pool? He's got a sore shoulder and may miss his start in Florida.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 Damn, I was being optimistic and had him down for two starts.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 If every A-Rod sympathizer would actually watch the games he plays in, rather than read his stats, you would see how hollow his numbers are and how awful he is in any type of pressure situation. You want him? You can have him.
Kismet 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 If only you took that money spent on A-Rod and some of the fossils pitching, and put it into research. You could of cloned Jeter and played one of them at third.

Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 You can't clone Jeter's heart! It's like Joe Morgan has taken over the Smart Marks. A-Rod hating Yankees fans make me smile. Spoiled brats.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted May 22, 2006 Did anyone read Joe Morgan's chat where he said he can't learn from Moneyball because Michael Lewis didn't play pro ball? He can only learn from other players and coaches. Hooray for forward thinking. Baseball needs Mark Cuban.

Guest Felonies! Report post Posted May 22, 2006 Adam Greenberg of the '05 Cubs has the shortest tenure as a major-leaguer in the modern era: hit by the first/last/only pitch he saw. I wonder if he has more insight than Joe McCarthy, with no major league appearances at all. Not that it matters, because Joe McCarthy is dead. But we're being hypothetical here. KingPK 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 I find it funny reading all these Sox boards with fans saying "Bring em' on" "Bring on the Yanks" blah blah blah. Bring on what? A team with only 4 regulars in the lineup? Yea ok. But those regulars are Damon, Jeter, A-Rod and Giambi. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those guys are pretty decent, right? And they have Randy Johns.......wait, never mind. Boston will win every game by 10 runs.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2006 I've defended A-Rod in the past, but he's sucking ass in the clutch. It's tough to defend him after that.
