JustJoe2k5 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 You would think they would use this Nash thing to put Sabin over, seeing as he's suppposed to get a big push. Sabin gets the rub by selling Nash's offense and look Alex Shelly is the newest Kliq member... I think the Alex Shelley / Kevin Nash tandem could be good. Shelley will carry the matches and both are very good on the mic.
Slickster Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I like how Don West looks like he should be carrying a tommy gun.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 They really should've treated this tournament as a bigger event, like the very first one. We need confetti and I suppose the least they could have is Chris Sabin's teammates come out to celebrate with him. That's what I was thinking, and now we know why. Nash has gotta start "working with" the X Division guys. Or, Sabin's teammates were locked out of the arena (remember the start of this match)? Yes I remember but it looks stupid having one guy celebrating what's supposed to be a team event victory. It's supposed to be a huge event but there's no pomp, no celebration, just one guy holding up a trophy for a couple of seconds then getting the piss beaten out of him.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Is there any reason why TNA can't use actual music for theme music? Other promotions like ECW, MLW, and RoH that have television shows are allowed to play actual music.
razazteca Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Can the chainmail protect Steiner from the Musclebuster?
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 "I was scared to freakin' death!" Would this be the match that Joe was injured in?
ChrisMWaters Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 "I was scared to freakin' death!" Would this be the match that Joe was injured in? No, that was against David Young. XPlosion match.
Slickster Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 TNA is too big to slip under the radar and use real music like ECW did. Oh, and the lack of a World X Cup celebration is another example of how TNA TV moves too fucking fast.
Astro101 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Joe was injured against David Young. And TNA probably doesn't use "real" music due to royalties being paid?
razazteca Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Why is the ref wearing shorts that's not professional.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 "I was scared to freakin' death!" Would this be the match that Joe was injured in? Nah, that's an Xplosion match. Why the hell is Slick Rick wearing shorts with black socks? Reminds me of someone's vacationing grandfather.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Hopefully this Nash thing all works out, and cements Shelley, Sabin and Lethal as X stars.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I'm shocked at the reaction Andy Douglas received, I thought it was Randy Orton.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Hopefully this Nash thing all works out, and cements Shelley, Sabin and Lethal as X stars. I think Sabin cemented himself a while ago with his matches against Frankie Kazarian and his performance in the Ultimate X matches. Alex Shelley could definitely benefit from an angle with Kevin Nash.
razazteca Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I'm shocked at the reaction Andy Douglas received, I thought it was Randy Orton. It was for The Franchise Shane Douglas....his "uncle"
Slickster Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 See, that segment is emblematic of TNA's TV problems: 1) Scott Steiner comes out to talk about the KotM match. 2) Joe and Steiner stare down. 3) Joe shows he's a tank with legs. 4) The Naturals reform. 5) Shane Douglas comes out to scout The Naturals. That's FIVE angles in one segment. How can a new fan follow along with so much stuff going on in every segment.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I'm shocked at the reaction Andy Douglas received, I thought it was Randy Orton. I think they booed him for interupting Joe. The fan cheer Joe killing people, like bizarro world.

They can only do so much with one hour a week, they should really try to get Spike TV to allow them to extend the show a little bit.

Slickster Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Brother Ray cuts one hell of a promo, I'll give him that.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I like how Ron Killings randomly returns to the Heavyweight division whenever TNA organizes a battle royal or tournament centered around the title. Afterwards, it back to whereever the hell he hangs out.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 RHINO! Who is more intimidated, Abyss or the referee?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 OK Bubba, you and Dvon are the heart of ECW. Just keep thinking that. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rhino in the new ECW by the end of the year. Sabu's going to go God-knows-where. Besides Raven, that's about all of the major ex-ECWers in TNA isn't it?

Sabu will be in the new ECW. He had his "farewell match" in IWA Mid-South a week or two ago and they stated it would be his final match before he signed with the new ECW.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Shane Douglas coming out confused things, but any idiot should've been able to follow along with the rest. Shane should've scouted The Naturals in a tag match in the coming weeks.
Astro101 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I think Sabu's already signed a contract to go to the reformed ECW. edit: BEATEN TO PUNCH!

Guest NateW Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 That Bubba promo was stupid for a number of reasons. First, why take shots at WWE bringing back ECW? WWE has yet to actually use ECW to call out TNA in any way. This just shows that TNA fears WWE bringing back ECW. As far as WWE not being able to bring back ECW becuase the heart and soul is in TNA? Please! WWE has enough past ECW stars for this project. They don't need to fill it up with everybody from ECW's history. If this ECW thing fails it will be due to WWE not creating new stars or putting on a good product.
TNABaddboi Posted May 19, 2006 Author Report Posted May 19, 2006 I swear Rhino and Abyss faced each other last Impact.....2 weeks ago at most. It's almost like all they do is wrestle each other on TV. I guess it's better than them alternating squashing jobbers every week, but still... And oh yeah...it's 4 minutes til midnight and they have yet to explain what the hell the KotM match is. If you started watching TNA when they got to Spike, you don't know what it is, or why it happens at Slammiversary only, for that matter. New viewers probably just associate the name with Jarrett and stop caring, despite it being a pretty cool gimmick.

The only thing that I'm worried about (assuming Heyman and Dreamer get a free hand to book ECW how they want) is that they get hamstrung by the WWE moving over to the E anyone who starts to really get over. It's hard to book a main event scene if you don't know from week to week who's going to be there.
