Hunter's Torn Quad Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 It is likely there will be an injury angle involving Chris Benoit tonight in Bakersfield. He will be taking time off due to shoulder problems. No word on the severity but it didn't sound like a long-term thing. We will try and get an update on it later. We have not heard an angle will be shot, only that tonight will be his last match for a little while. Da Meltz.
Guest wildpegasus Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 That sucks. It must be really bothering him in order for him to take some time off. Hopefully he can recover quickly and as much as possible. Of course all of this brings up the question of who should injure him? Regal? Be nice but I don't see it happening Booker? They've already feuded enough as of late Finlay? Perhaps but they did just finish a "conclusive" PPV match Undertaker? Don't see a heel turn for him coming up Kahi? Hmm, that would be a good pick. Rey? Nope Angle? I'd like to see him injure Benoit and reignite a feud Orton? Not back yet Mark Henry? Possible pick and would be a good idea Batista? Severely doubt it
Dangerous A Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Finlay? Perhaps but they did just finish a "conclusive" PPV match At the end of the match, Finlay was left saying it wasn't over.
Guest Princess Leena Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Awesome. Please hit him with the shillelagh 37 times.
daileyxplanet Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Or better yet, please hit him with the leprechaun 37 times.
Downhome Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 For what it's worth, here's another possible (minor) SD spoiler from PWInsider: It's highly likely that Ken Kennedy will make his return tonight, since he wont end up being a part of the new ECW.

Damn, about time. Hopefully this turns out to be right
Hawk 34 Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 I'm telling you, by September, Smackdown will be reduced to 3 wrestlers, 2 divas and a leprechaun.
benn Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 I'm telling you, by September, Smackdown will be reduced to 3 wrestlers, 2 divas and a leprechaun. And they still won't give Booker T the title.
Maztinho Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 I'm telling you, by September, Smackdown will be reduced to 3 wrestlers, 2 divas and a leprechaun. And Teddy Long.
NYU Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 So what about the Benoit/Malenko match at One Night Stand II?
Hawk 34 Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 So what about the Benoit/Malenko match at One Night Stand II? If Benoit can't get back by 6.11, you could easily plug Mysterio into the match as it's a Eddie Memorial.
daileyxplanet Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 I'm telling you, by September, Smackdown will be reduced to 3 wrestlers, 2 divas and a leprechaun. And Teddy Long. He said "leprechaun".
Downhome Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 One more bit from PWInsider: - As of a few hours ago, it was planned for Finlay's "leprechaun" (Shortstack) to make his debut tonight at the SD taping.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 There's no need for the spoilers tag, because the title says it that their is a spoiler in the thread. I think it's Henry that injures, because it will help his gimmick out more.
