Guest wildpegasus Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Well, I can swim a few metres but that's about it. I fear the water almost as bad as I do women. Floating in particular is something I can not do at all. I've never actually accomplished it despite a million tries. I'm just too nervous and I can't relax. Is there anyone else out there who can't swim? I know there's got to be a few. Edit -- If someone would please take the time to take my Blog tests I would appreciate it. I am trying to enable comments to be posted on them but I'm having a hard time doing so.
Bruiser Chong Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 No. I refuse to believe there's someone out there with a fear of women and water that still predominantly watches VHS.

MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 No. I refuse to believe there's someone out there with a fear of women and water that still predominantly watches VHS. Well, at least I dont still have a VCR.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I never learned to swim. Can't ride a bike, either.

I'm a hardcore wrestling fan with a ton of rare wrestling tapes from around the world. Of course I'm still gong to watch more VHS than other formats.
Guest wildpegasus Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I never learned to swim. Can't ride a bike, either. Bikes aren't bad for me. There's less fear of death when you're riding a bike. Which reminds me of something I've always wondered about -- Do girls get off on riding bikes or horses? There's got to be some reason why girls love horses so much.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I feel the same way whenever I have sex with a really beautiful woman. Which is often, wildpegasus.
The Metal Maniac Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Thank Christ, I'm not the only person on earth who can't ride a bike. Everyone should be able to swim though; it could save your life. Unless you never, ever go near water. And how in the fuck do you live in Nova Scotia and become afraid of water?
Guest wildpegasus Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Thank Christ, I'm not the only person on earth who can't ride a bike. Everyone should be able to swim though; it could save your life. Unless you never, ever go near water. And how in the fuck do you live in Nova Scotia and become afraid of water? Good question. There's a ton of water around here. I'm not afraid of the water at all. I'm just afraid of floating in it. Is there anything you can do, WP? Yeah, I can do a bunch of stuff due to being subjected to it. Experiences that a lot of people will never see in their lifetimes. Been through a lot of danger through work. Weightraining is my biggest can do thing.
Art Sandusky Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I can't swim, even though I live on an island. At least I can ride a bicycle.
Copper Feel Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I can ride a bike, but I was 11 when I learnt which is pretty late. Im not too skilled a swimmer but I love being in the sea although thats mainly for body boarding.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I'm a pretty good swimmer. How can you not float, though? My means of movement that I don't like is driving. I can do it, but I won't unless I absolutely have to.
CanadianChris Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I never learned to swim. Can't ride a bike, either. Bikes aren't bad for me. There's less fear of death when you're riding a bike. You don't ride in the right places, then.
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I can swim, but haven't in a looong while. Never learned to ride a bike. Or drive.
The Metal Maniac Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I'm not afraid of the water at all. I fear the water almost as bad as I do women. At least try to keep your gimmick consistent, kid.
Slayer Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I never learned to swim. Can't ride a bike, either. No Ironman Triathalon for you!

What I mean is that I'm not afraid of the water but I am afraid of floating or drowning in it. I thought I mentioned that already.
The Metal Maniac Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 "I'm not afraid of guns, I'm just afraid of being shot."
daileyxplanet Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I can't swim, even though I took swimming in high school. I do like "swimming" with flippers and goggles, however.
Vampiro69 Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 So you can't swim and can't even ride a bike? Your parents must be so proud of you! What did you, sit in your basement every waking moment?
Vern Gagne Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Unless you swim for exercise, how often are you really swimming?
Masked Man of Mystery Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I used to be able to swim, now, I think I could do it if my life depended on it, but otherwsie...I stay away. I'm also unable to ride a bike.
Guest Princess Leena Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 So you can't swim and can't even ride a bike? Your parents must be so proud of you! What did you, sit in your basement every waking moment? I can't do either. Never learned how to swim, and had a bike crash that scared me from riding when I was little. I'm sure I could ride a bike now, though. Ride my exercise one enough.
treble Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Really, riding a bike is about as easy as walking.
Hawkius Maximus Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I thankfully mastered floating when I was five. If I was in a life or death situation, I could easily just kinda...float, if need arose. I don't even have to try to do it anymore. I naturally just start floating. I can't even dive, I just float right back up. Bikes...Fuck Bikes. I took a nasty fall, and gashed my knee pretty badly when I was a kid, to the point where I probably needed stitches. My irrational fear of hospitals kept me from going. Never learned how after that and never want to.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 The prospect of being completely underwater terrifies me. As for the bike, I never felt like learning. Sometimes, I get an itch to finally ride one, but it passes before I do anything about it.
