NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2006 I have a pool and can swim, but oddly I hardly ever actually "swim" in the pool. Like if I am playing volley ball with someone and they hit it to the other side of the pool, instead of actually "swimming" to the ball, I sort of just do this weird hybrid dog-paddle technique....LOL. Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2006 We have plenty of wooded areas where I live, and I used to ride through them just about every day on my bike. Haven't ridden a bike it 5 years though. Can't swim. Don't care. The end.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 The crazy thing is, I passed a drown-proofing class back in elementary school which is/was a requirement to get out of Elementary school. But while I everyone else learned how to swim, I learned how to float, which apparently is good enough to be considered drown-proofed.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Marvin, you should take advantage of your natural lack of hair, and become a professional swimmer.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 I can swim, but I can't ride a bike, had a bad crash that freaked me out when I was 7. I'm just finally learning how to drive, and I must say that I have no idea why I was intimidated by it before.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 You know, I always figured swimming and riding a bike was like driving a car. A natural thing that people shouldn't have problems figuring out.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 I'm afraid of large and dangerous bodies of water.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted May 31, 2006 You know, I always figured swimming and riding a bike was like driving a car. A natural thing that people shouldn't have problems figuring out. Well, swimming is natural, yeah, but nobody is hard-wired to operate an automobile. I bet you really like cars! It's probably the most involved and complicated task of the three. I can see why people would have problems with it, as navigating a busy six-lane expressway can be pretty stressful for a lot of people. There's so much to react to. Big Ol' Smitty 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 Why is "can't" in parentheses?
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 I can swim, I just don't like to. Unless it's an indoor pool. Outdoor pools are cold and under sunlight. I can't ride a bike, though. Why is "can't" in parentheses? Those are quotation marks
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 Swimming has never been natural for me. I fuckin' sink.
Big Ol' Smitty 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 Those are quotation marks What the fuck was I thinking? Anyway, why is the "can't" in quotation marks?
spman 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 I'm sure there must be a study out there that prooves there are some things that certain people are just physically incapable of doing for some reason. Floating is impossible for me, my body just can't do it, I just sink to the bottom. Maybe it has something to do with an imbalance of body weight of some sort? I also cannot snap my fingers, I'm not sure why, and I never really cared to investigate, but it's just not possible.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Report post Posted May 31, 2006 I can't swim, but I can ride a bike. One day years ago when I was really young, I tried to ride my bike across my friend's sweet luxeryous pool. That was also the day I learned I couldn't swim, as I had never tried to before. I think my friend's Dad was the one who revived me.
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 Can't ride a bike, either. Same here. I just always picture myself riding a bike and then all of the sudden, it tips over and the top of my head comes off and blood goes everywhere. As for swimming, I finally decided to go to the deep end when I was in the fourth grade.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 13, 2006 Go to your blog. Click "Your Blog Settings" Button. Choose "Look" Tab. Approve comments posted on your blog? Change it to "No approve". Thanks Leena. I just readjusted my settings. The way it's worded automatically makes you think "No approve" is a setting for not enabling comments but yet it it's a setting for enabling comments. Weird, but it makes sense the other way too once you think about it.
