According to TNA, we'll hear from Brother Ray and Brother Devon from Phili tonight on SpikeTV, as they'll obviously have more words for BG and Kip James. All this and much more tonight on "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV, including more matches announced for the June 18th Slammiversary Pay-Per-View event! Also appearing will be Abyss, Ron "The Truth" Killings, the TNA Knockout babes, X-Division champion, Samoa Joe and many more of your favorite TNA stars! The six man seems okay. Don't really care about Steiner/Sting though.
TNABaddboi Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Don't really care about Steiner/Sting though. I am kinda interesting in seeing how Steiner does in a one-on-one 10 minute match, since all he's done are tags since coming in. And I dunno, I just like Sting, so seeing him on TV will be fun too. It'll be interesting to see what kinda number this show draws though. You can tell TNA is hoping for a big one because they're giving away a match-up between two of their biggest names and they've promoted the match pretty much since Sacrifice. But with the NBA Finals likely to be in the 4th quarter around that time, if its a close game, they might be screwed. Like I said, it should be interesting... Oh yeah...quick question: who the hell is playing the hell in the 3D/NAO feud? I thought originally it would be the outlaws since they are the least over of the two, they've dropped Bullet Bob from their act (THANK GOD!) and they cheated to win at the PPV. But then they got the babyface spoof promo and they're hear teaming with Sabin. What gives?

But then they got the babyface spoof promo and they're hear teaming with Sabin. What gives? Neither is playing the heel. It's just two tag teams fighting each other for a legacy deal. I'm fine with them doing it because it works really well and will divide the crowd, making some damn fine heat. But I still think when it's all said and done, the Dudleys should come out of the show as a heel tag team since they really suck as faces. Both Christian and the Duds should come out as heels because they both suffer from the same problem. They are lame as faces.

The question is though...should they be heels with "Brother Runt" at their side, or without him?
razazteca Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Since both NAO and Dudleys are stuck in the past why not have Brother Runt go thru some tables for the hell of it and have him team up with random hardcore wrestler to feud with Team 3D for the next 2 months.
Astro101 Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 TNA's built up Sting vs Steiner up so well throughout these qualifying matches. Looking forward to just seeing how it plays out.
TNABaddboi Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Meltz posted this about tonight's show: TNA was hoping for its biggest rating in its history tonight by putting Sting vs. Scott Steiner on immediately after the conclusion of Ultimate Fighter (the show opens with the match). With both the NBA playoffs and MTV awards, that may put a damper on those hopes. It's interesting to see them use the old SNME format of putting the feature match on early. I've been thinking that it would suit them well in the timeslot they're in, so it'll be interesting to see how it fares.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 If weather permits, I hope to be online tonight for the show. Hopefully, we can have some good discussion. Announced matches don't sound spectacular, but should be decent and Sting is always fun to watch.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 All TNA fans, big or small, should be very interested in the Sting vs. Steiner match. Steiner vs. Samoa Joe could be a huge program this summer, but it all depends on Steiner. This match should show us if Steiner is capable of a major singles feud...on tv.
death_by_burrito Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 The card doesn't look too good tonight besides Sting/Steiner, but i'm sure it'll be better on tv.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Announcers completely no-sold the low blow.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 I think Scott Steiner could have been a pretty major talent if he hadn't taken steroids. He had alot of talent in the early '90s and could've developed into a much better wrestler.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Steiner hasn't been that impressive, but he can take bumps. The ability to take bumps is all someone needs for Samoa Joe to be able to carry them to a decent matchup.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 This match has played out like some terrible main event from a 1960s promotion ran out of a YMCA, complete with a dead crowd.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 How jacked up were Abyss and Ron Killings? Their exchange saved this entire segment.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Is Chris Sabin the next X-Division talent that TNA wants to move to the heavyweight division? A win against Kevin Nash would certainly start his push in the right direction.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 I didn't really expect a clean win on TV between those two. Impressive or not, at least Steiner showed he's capable of working a ten to fifteen minute match.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 I didn't really expect a clean win on TV between those two. Impressive or not, at least Steiner showed he's capable of working a ten to fifteen minute match. Yeah, he didn't seem blown up like he did against Triple H a few years ago.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Whoa! Kevin Nash brings the funny. I really didn't understand alot of that promo, except Alex Shelley's Joey Lawrence impression.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Shelley will get a comical jobber or will screw up and get someone that fights back.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Should be fun to find out who Alex Shelley's selects, I don't know of anyone else of the independent circuit that is like Chris Sabin.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 We really don't need to see Konnan speak, we have ears.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 It'll probably be some old broken down guy...like Marty Jannety...maybe Scott Hall as a joke.
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 That was a great spotfest between Clark and Dutt, partially ruined by TNA's insistance that we see Konnan speak.
razazteca Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Whoa! Kevin Nash brings the funny. I really didn't understand alot of that promo, except Alex Shelley's Joey Lawrence impression. What is there not to understand Nash had the sweet presentation with charts and everything! 50% setup Sabin, 25% Shelly stalking, 25% fight a Sabin clone next week! Due the math it all adds up to getting both Shelly and Sabin over!
Guest El Satanico Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Kip looks blacker now, than he looked when painted.
death_by_burrito Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 I didn't find too much of tonights show to be good. The best part was prolly the Joe/Steiner brawl. It got me real psyched to see their match. Too bad I prolly wont order the PPV.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 "I like the cut of your jib there, Kev."
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 1. I can't believe I care about a Scott Steiner match in 2006. 2. Alex Shelley is (and may end up being the only one to) benefiting from the Nash storyline. He's awesome...and his character really stands out with what they're doing. 3. I liked the KOTM qualifying matches that they ran this month. It made for some interesting TV. 4. I can't believe I care about a Scott Steiner match in 2006.
