Failed Bridge Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 I did a search to see if this movie had its own thread and nothing came back, so here goes... This movie is fantastic. The casting job was better than anything I've seen since Batman Begins and all the characters are fun. Gary Shandling as the cautious turtle would have certainly stole the show if it wasn't for William Shatner's portrayal of an over-acting Possum (playing Possum takes on a whole new meaning). I have to say that I enjoyed this more than I expected somebody my age to enjoy it. I felt it was more entertaining than X-Men III too.
the max Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 The girlfriend and I will be checking this out in the afternoon during the week. Too many kids on weekends. It does look funny though...more entertaining than CARS.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 The last three movies I've seen were, Over The Hedge, The Omen, and Cars. This was the best out of the three. It's pretty funny.
bob_barron Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Calling it fantastic?? Let's not get too crazy. I enjoyed it, but Bruce Willis did a terrible job in the lead. It was cute though. DreamWorks Animation needs to stop going for big names just to get big names, and get people who are better suited to voice the character.
Failed Bridge Posted June 11, 2006 Author Report Posted June 11, 2006 I thought Bruce Willis and Gary Shandling did a good job playing off one another. I was hoping that the bear voiced by Nick Nolte would end up in the driver's seat of the Exterminator's van with his fur all wacky (like Nolte's hair was in his mug shot) towards the end.
King Kamala Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I really enjoyed it. Call me crazy but this was my favorite CGI movie since Finding Nemo. Really cute movie and a score by Ben Folds (one of my favorites) to boot.
daileyxplanet Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 It's score by BEN FREAKING FOLDS!? I'm seeing it just for him.
King Kamala Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Yeah, well partially (he co-wrote it with some regular movie composer). He has like 5 or 6 new songs on the soundtrack too (Including a Rockin' The Suburbs remake with William Shatner from what I hear).
