Guest Felonies! Report post Posted July 2, 2006 Okay, they've broken Ron Santo now. After freaking out about Pierre getting caught in a rundown ("SIGNS! SIGNS! Don't you people read the SIGNS?!?"), something happened where he just gave up and went "that's it. I can't get so excited about this team anymore. I've been watching this all year. I have to settle down." Pat: "Well, Ron, remember, you'll be singing Take Me Out To The Ballgame for the 7th inning stretch today!" Ron: "Oh, great."
Guest Smues Report post Posted July 2, 2006 The Braves announcers were saying in a round about way that the Braves had 3 all-stars. At least I think that's what they said, I didn't quite catch it all. But I think they said McCann and Andruw are on the team, and a 3rd guy I missed. I'd guess maybe that's Renteria if we actually do have 3.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 Wow. With the Cubbies OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION~!, I'm starting to get worried about what they'll do against the Rocket tomorrow...LOL2006~!!!!!1!!!!!111!!!!!!
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 Neifi Perez hits a three-run bomb, to make it a six-run game. That's 10 earned runs for Buerhle. Let's see if Z can settle down now.
Guest Report post Posted July 2, 2006 You know what's sad? They'll still win tomorrow if they score once.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 I'm cautiously optimistic that the Astros can at least put a couple of runs on the board against the Cubs.

vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 Let's see.... ... ... Carlos Marmol. Â My prediction...'Stros 857-Cubbies 0. Â In other news, Francisco Liriano is having another excellent game. He's gone 7 innings against the Brewers, giving up three hits no runs and striking out 10 while only walking one. I know he's just a rookie, but I think he deserves to start the All-Star Game.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted July 2, 2006 Marmol is pretty good.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 Yeah, he looked good against us in that one game last series at MMP. I swear if we lose 1-0 with Rocket on the mound, I'll eat my hat.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 The Cubs need to hurry up and win this game. If I have to hear "YOUCANPUDDITINDABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!" one more time, I'm gonna flip out.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 Ok, why the fuck did Aaron Fultz start. They seriously started a terrible lefty specialist/middle reliever. It's almost as if they wanted to give the bullpen a head start. I was mystified too, but Fultz has been really good in the bullpen the last two seasons.
jwest27 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 The Cardinals managed to eek out a victory against the Royals. Â Wooo party, I guess.

Yea, they talked about how Renteria had a fishing trip planned All Star Weekend that he might have to cancel and if that Andruw and McCann were going with him, they would have to cancel to.  It was really funny
Bored 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2006 A's get swept by the D-Backs who had lost 20 of their 23 coming into the series. Nick Swisher's gone into a horriffic slump and Eric Chavez is playing like he's 38 instead of 28. That 15 out of 17 run they had might be the lone hot streak this year. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2006 I was mystified too, but Fultz has been really good in the bullpen the last two seasons. He's sucked this year. 1. A 4.25 ERA is above league average. Taking the park into consideration, Fultz has an ERA 9% above the league. Â 2. Fultz's peripherals are excellent. A 9.0 K/9 ratio along with just 14 walks in 44 innings pitched. He's simply been a little unlucky with his hits allowed.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2006 An A-Bomb from A-Rod puts the Yankees in front 6-4. I don't know why it took Willie so long to warm somebody up.

NYU 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2006 Yeah, the Mets won't be sniffing that World Series Championship until they get a more reliable pitching staff. These interleague games have proved that. Â Soler isn't cutting it. It's only a matter of time before El Duque collapses. And Heilman places a pitching curse on the team the likes they haven't seen since Armando Benitez.
