It's somewhat short notice, but we ARE heading up to Genesis, and that seems like the best time to have a "Best locations" tour, so I'm getting this up now.

I'll get a list of all SWF PPV's up tomorrow - tired and lazy tonight. Just wanted to get this up, and let you talk amongst yourselves.

Also, SWF PPV's only. I'm ruling out IGN and SJL PPV's, mainly because there'd be way too many nominees otherwise. :P

Ground Zero 2005, or Ashes 2 Ashes 2004. Means I can go to the UK again.

Otherwise... er, I'm supposed to remember where PPVs were? Anything that wasn't Ashes 2 Ashes was either on a World Tour or some random American location, and they're all the same.

You're not really meant to remember where they were, just which shows were the best. So the shows leading up to Genesis VII will come from the locations of the SWF's best shows ever.

After doing some screwing around with page numbers on the board, I stumbled into Genesis V. Supposedly CC was pissed off with that? Anyone wanna fill me in, cause I was confused.

But yay for that super cool list.

I don't know if it was any good or not but for historical purposes how about the first ever SWF PPV? Whatever it was, where ever it was it would still be a fitting location IMO

The short version? A gang of people no-showed, most notorious of which was Johnny, who no-showed the main event as the defending World Heavyweight Champion.

Not our finest hour.

Well, the first "official" SWF PPV was Battleground '02, which featured six title matches: the Clan (Spider Nekura & Thoth) defending the Tag Team Titles against The Prophet and Savior, Sarah and Pete for the Hardcore Title (so that's where all the beef comes from... ;)), Jay Dawg vs K-Os and Lady Red in a Triple Threat for the US Title, the two greatest Cruisers of all time, ELM and Fallout, 2/3 falls for the LHW Title, Sacred and Edwin for the ICTV Title, and Thugg vs Xstasy vs Grand Slam for the "Big Gold Belt."

So, just judging by the card, I'd say it's a pretty good show, but form your own opinion; I'd read it just for the ELM/Fallout match... did I mention that they're the two greatest Cruisers of all time?

Heh heh. Yeah.

I still love that I got away with lazily booking a survivor series match for Ashes 2 Ashes and it ended up advancing pretty much every storyline in the fed.

An idea - what if we decided in Chat, like the Top 25 Stupidest Moments? Do it by committee and stuff.

Who would be up for that?

Not I, said the fox.

Not I, said the fly. Has to rhyme, you dork. Either that, or it's Yet Another Reference That Went Over My Head. Probably the latter. :P

I suggest committee because I imagine most here can't (or just won't) read all of these then vote between the day I posted them and the day the AftershoxXxxX card goes up... Decision by committee would just make the whole process easier.

That said, I'm entirely open to suggestion here. Would you guys be willing to read all/most of these and send in votes (gotta be secret~!) to me, by Sunday evening? Or do you have other ideas for how to decide?

How could you have never heard of The Little Red Hen? Didn't your parents ever read to you when you were a child?

To be fair, though, I've seen some variations: the version that I had as a kid had [fox, goose, pig], but I've also seen [duck, dog, cat], and even [dog, cat, rat]. And, of course, Walt Disney's version just had Pig and (Donald) Duck, IIRC.

The only children's stories I remember growing up with are Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No-Good Very Bad Day, and Why Mosquitos Buzz In People's Ears. I'm sure there were others, but those are the only two I recall.
