Ripper 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2006 I like this thread. I tried to start a All Hip Hop thread a while back, for anything Hip-Hop related, but it didn't take off. Had a damn good, really fucking long Nas Interview chronology posted in it. But, yeah... We mentioned Buddem earlier, and I mentioned his newer mixtapes, especialy Mood Muzik 2. Anybody feelin' that shit? One of the hottest albums out last year. Yeah, I said albums. Mood Muzik 2 was just plain sick. And there is no difference between nigga and nigger. Both of them will get your fucking teeth stomped out if you say them to a black person if you are white. I could give a fuck what Phonte says.

This post isnt about whether or not 50 is good, it's about the fact that he holds more power than anyone at Interscope records and has single handedly put Game's career on the skids. Jay Z was making MTV friendly pop singles way before 50 Cent was, and that's who T.I. is trying to be. And HOW DO YOU KNOW HE PUT GAME'S CAREER ON THE SKIDS? He's still getting props from the major Rap magazine's(Can't remember if it was Source or XXL that said his CD is the most anticapated album of the year), rappers and producers are still working with The Game. Snoop Dogg, Nas, Mary J. Blige, Damian Marley, among others are expected to be guests on the album, and he's working with Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Cool & Dre, Scott Storch and Just Blaze, of which were on his 1st CD. So really how is Game's career on the skids? If he sells less then platinum, I agree his career is over, but until his CD comes out and his record sales come out, we will truly see where he stands. Until then, SHUT THE FUCK UP about 50 ruining his career, because you come off as a dumbass teeny booper fan.

Guest Felonies! Report post Posted August 4, 2006 I liked those Badass String Parts on "Forgot About Dre," too. OHHHH! He said "this is the millennium of Aftermath"; he must be talking about his then-new record label. Now Dre said it was his, but now 50 Cent runs it? Or Jay-Z? I'm still trying to figure out all the pro wrestling elements of this.
FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 Dude, really I'm tellin you. Jimmy Iovine runs the fuckin rap game. Puffy used to, before him it was Suge Knight. Right now Jay-Z is starting to. The reason these dudes "run" the game is because they're in charge of the most popular lables at different times. 50 Cent brings in alot of fuckin money, but he don't run shit. They cater to him because he's aprimadonna who throws a tamptrem if he don't get his way. It's all politics just like wrestlin is, and 50 Cent is as good at rap politics as Hogan is at wrestling politics. But, the only time someone is running the industry is when the run the most successful label at that time. Right now, that's Jimmy Iovine, a white dude. T.I. is just a fad right now, eventually he's going to die off, after people get sick of his same old rap style. I know eventually him and Lil Wayne, or him and Ludacris are going to battle(Let's face it this is going to happen in the future), and both are much better lyricists then T.I.(Luda murdered him with that one line in Stomp), and have very large fan bases. I can't see T.I. hanging with them. I don't hate T.I. as much as I think he is overrated, but goddamn he's fallen off since Trap Muzik, which was a very good CD, infact I still pump it. You mention there's nothing wrong with making an MTV hit song, I agree, Biggie knew how to do it without selling out, as did Jigga before the Blueprint 2. But T.I. is planning on having Justin Timberlake of all people on his next CD, you can't tell me that's not turning into pop rap. And I problay have been listening to T.I. before you even heard of it(I was listening to him back when he dropped I'm Serious in 01) Calling himself the King of the South is very laughable because he is not even the most talented in his own city. cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2006 How did 50 end his career? Cause 50 cent is calling the shots at Interscope.. he's bigger than Dre, he's bigger than Em, hes even telling Jimmy Iovine what to do. He already got Game dropped from Aftermath like he said he would. Youre foolish if you think Dre will choose Game over 50 because Dre knows who brings in the $$$ for him.. so don't expect Dre on Game's CD despite what the post says. 50 made Game and now hes destroyed him, I bet if 50 told MTV and BET not to play Game's videos, they'll do it. Game's career is officially over.. he only got popular on songs that 50 was on, "Put You On The Game" was his only solo single and it flopped horribly. Nobody is checkin for Game anymore what a 50 fanboy. the worst fanboy. he's sullied up the entire concept of a beef. face it, 50 is more emo than gangsta anymore. he whines & whines about nothing. he TRIES to pick beefs, yet they go nowhere because rappers laugh it off. he's a parody now. what happened to his little attack on jay? boy, he sure did HIM in. what about nas? 50 is going to be as irrelevent as em in a few years. haven't we learned that its jay running the game now? its always been. jay could take game in right now & make him a bigger star than 50 could ever imagine. You say 50 tries to pick beefs and youre defending The Game? When The Game debuted he basically tried to pick a beef with every rapper he possibly could. Yukmouth, Joe Budden, Jay-Z, the list goes on and on, he was just calling out random people to make a name for himself. Saying 50 will be as irrelevant as Nas is a joke.. nas is a great rapper but he has no idea how to make a hit. 50 has his finger on the pulse of whats hot and that's why he will continue to own the charts. Jay could make him a star? haha, please. Like he made Memphis Bleek a star right? Or Beanie Segal (yeah hes had jail problems, but having a rapper who's been in trouble with the law should be instant $$$). The most successful guy Jay has had on his label is Young Jeezy and that had absolutely nothing to do with Jay. 50 Cent has made everyone associated with him a household name. 50 Keeps pretending he is running things, but Dre is basically saying "what the fuck ever" and is going to make his money with Game just like Jimmy is. And 50 is going to shut the fuck up because Mobb Deep and Tony Yayo flopped HARD AS FUCK. Just like Bucks next album will and Bank's album PROBABLY will. 50 fucked up all these dudes career because everyone got so tired of him and they took it out on the G-Unit artist. Now no one is buying any of their albums. And Curtis sees this and is going to shut up before his money starts to get short. You can't expect everyone on the label to go platinum and double platinum. The problem with those albums was there was a G-Unit oversaturation for a minute there.. 50, Yayo & Mobb Deep's albums all came out way too close together. But dont let yourself get fooled.. Buck and Banks WILL go plat. And the Em is irrelivant thing...if he drops an album tommorrow it will sell more than the entire G-unit rosters newest albums combined times 2. Including 50. The Massacre sold more than Curtain Call & Get Rich or Die Tryin sold more than Encore. 50 is a bigger star than Eminem right now, there is no doubt about it. 50 is not bigger then Dre, or Em. You don't know how it is. 50 never made Game, Game made himself. And "Put You on the Game" wasn't his only solo single, "Dreams" was a solo single and it did damn good. Game wouldnt even have a album if 50 didn't write all his hooks for him. All his hype was because of G-Unit. His two songs with 50 Cent tore up the charts, his other two were total flops. Without 50 Cent, Game would have just been another Cali rapper doing the tired ass G-Funk crap and he would have faded away quickly. How many units have Olivia, Mobb Deep, Spider Loc, Tony Yayo, Murda Mase and M.O.P. shifted? Less than 2 mill? Why's that? Because they waiting for the heat to die down 'cause they seen G-Unit has got a backlash on 'em and they can't push units like they did when they broke in with Banks, Buck and 50. Yayo ain't commercial, Mase is DED, Olivia ain't got nothing, Spider Loc ain't shit and M.O.P's best effort was with Flipmode backing them. Aftermath is already reloading with dude's like G.A.G.E. because they see the writing on the wall. Fact is, streets is talking and they ain't backing these faces no more, no matter how hard XXL runs with them. 50's talk without walking the walk has worn thin except within the pop circle and yeah, they'll snap his shit up, but they'll snap up Jessica Simpson and Kelly Clarkson too so it ain't even really hood, it's numbers from the chart dumbasses. MC Burial by Nas killed 50 in the streets straight up, now Nas got Jay with him he ain't even interested no more because Jay and Freeway got a deal with G Unit and 50 ain't that dumb to bite the hand of the king of the rap game right now. Game made mucho money for Interscope out the gate and doesn't have the heat on him 50 does so I can see him benefitting from his new deal as much as 50 wants to talk it up how he'll always own him. Whatever, that's black and white print, economics say if he's shifted label the only people likely to benefit are the featured artists, prodcuers label head and company boss. So 50's talking shit if he says he's gonna profit from Game's move, the facts don't add up, it's just more BS from the dude who claims he'll KO dudes and ain't scared of no man when he rolls around with 30 bodyguards. If Ghostface can spark him out clean I doubt he's as hard as he claims, 'roids might boost Busta and 50's bodies but you can't toughen up your jaw. T.I. has got tucked in by Ludacris lately so he isn't even an issue in my view. As for Jay signing Fallout Boy, "I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man." Jay sees money in them and if he can make some off them he'll lock it down, it just makes sense whether he likes them or not. They get radio/video play and sell major numbers so why would he not strike while the iron is hot? Rick Ross = Baby = Master P. Poor lyricism but catchy flow for his time. I have to question someone saying Rick Ross is the future of hip hop. I hope the hell not. Rick Ross really does suck. 4-5 years? More like 3 years at the most, because that's when 24's came out, and he got the exposure, but Trap Muzik didn't go platinum so that as you well. He might've been hot in ATL, for 4-5 years. Ja Rule had over 8 million CD's sold, and was a dominate force for Hip Hop for alot longer then T.I. was, until he started making bubble gum rap and got ripped for it by the fans, and eventually 50 Cent came along and exposed him for it, and he hasn't been platinum since(But who knows, he's starting to spit some really good shit. And his new album is suppose to have some really big features on like, with the likes of Jay Z, Luda, Nas, DMX etc.) I really think Luda or Weezy(possibly both) is going to rip T.I. a new one, and the fans will flock away from him, like they did Ja. Ripper 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2006 Luda wasn't talking about TI in that song. They both have said it. Kayslay's ass was just talking shit and mixtape djs started calling it the TI diss. And I am in atlanta, so yeah...around this part of the country he has been hot for about 4 years now. Plus, if you ever heard down with the king(dj drama mixtape) you know that TI can battle rap with the best of them. Don't think it would be a roll over and die situation. Ja rule stop selling not because he was doing bubblegum pop(thats WHY he was selling) he stopped selling because he tried to get at 50 all gangsta like with Blood in my eye, and his entire fan base didn't like that shit. Thus, he turned off his fan base trying to be gangsta and the people that like the gangsta shit wasn't believing it. That bubble gum shit will always sell. Hell, 50 is nothing but Curtis-Rule now. He is releasing the same songs. And Don't nobody say nothing bad about MOP. Those are some legends in the game. I don't expect them to ever release another album, but they are fucking legends. He is releasing the same songs. Please, people were starting to backlash on Ja after that Memorized video with Ashanti. That's why the Last Temptation only went platinum where as Pain Is Love and Rule 3:36 were 3X Platinum. The reason why those CD's were sucessful, because not all of it was bubble gum rap. He had some gangsta songs on those albums, that niggas loved(Dial M for Murder, Smokin and Ridin, 6 Feet Underground etc.) He wasn't going to sell regardless what he put on Blood In My Eye, infact if the main reason why Blood In My Eye wasn't a total failure, was because Clap Back was such strong song(I love that song, the Storch came correct with the beat). 50 is doing bubble gum rap now, because he's on top of the rap world like Ja Rule was, so he can slack off. T.I. can beat Lil Flip, whoopity doo(He barely edge him out IMO), he can't hang with Luda or Weezy IMO. Weezy is a better lyricist, Carter 2 was much better then The King. Luda murdered him with that one line on Stomp, T.I. even knew it which is why he bitched out and got his verse removed on the album.
