Im a big NASCAR fan and all, but I swear I want this movie to bomb big time just so I wont have to put up through the incessant stupid commercials for it. And seeing Stewie punch Will Farrell on the Family Guy rerun tonight is about how I feel about him myself.

I swear Ive seen the commercials for it about, no joke..400 times probably. Every commercial break during the races..every commercial break during wrestling..random commercial breaks during other shows..I wanted to see the movie when I first heard about it too, but man..

Superman Returns was it's own Kryptonite. Unless you're a fan of the Superman comics, or you know they stole the main premise of the movie from the 1960's Captain America series, then it just seems bland and boring to you.

 

Also, how would having Kryptonian DNA make the kid sickly? Shouldn't he be the second coming of He-Man or something?

Honestly I thought that the kid's ailments in Superman Returns were phony, stuff that Lois had him do to make him seem the furthest from the truth. I'm still not sure how the kid has any sort of powers though.

 

Superman Returns was good (in fact I prefer it to POTC: DMC) but it really doesn't offer anything we haven't seen before. How many times do we need to see Lex Luthor try to wreck the world only to have Superman thwart him?

Depending on how long the event you're going to watch is, just wait until it has been on the air for twenty to forty-five minutes. That way you can fast forward through the commercials and you're still watching it relatively live.

In my day we changed the channel to avoid watching commercials, but this whole "find something else to do for 45 minutes while the show you want to watch it on, then skip commercials" sounds much more efficient and logical.
