Who are some of Vince's favorite superstars..

Recommended Posts

Guest Jack Potts

The Fabulous Moolah.

Although after watching "Lipsticks & Dynamite," the documentary about female wrestlers, I think Moolah liked Vince's father more than she cares for Vince.

Vince and Moolah definitely seem cut from the same cloth in terms of their ruthless approach to business.

Can you enlighten a young fan on Moolah's approach to the business?

Judging from the documentary "Lipsticks & Dynamite," Moolah was a ruthless businesswoman who used her influence and will to firmly keep other women wrestlers "in their place." The attitude toward Moolah from every other female wrestler they interviewed ranged from thinly veiled disdain to outright hostility. In another world, Vince would have called her "son-in-law."

Besides that, Moolah keeps a borderline retarded, senior citizen, midget former female wrestler named "Diamond Lil" as a mascot/indentured servant in her South Carolina home. If nothing else, I'm sure Vince McMahon has to be in awe of THAT, and has probably spent years trying to work a similar storyline into the Wrestlemania main event.

I think Vince's favorites are the one that made him a lot of money.

So why does he like HBK?

For the same reason he keeps Brawler and Patterson around.

I don't think Patterson is actually employed by the company anymore, is he?

interesting point, but I would think he made some kind of money for vince. I mean back in the mid 90s face run he had to move a lot of merchandise no? plus the dx stuff (well not todays version)

Thats possibly because hes been a regular card since the late 80s when he was part of the rockers.

Personally i think Some/most of his favourates come from the late nineties, 97/98 time to 2002. For example stone cold, the rock, angle, Kane etc etc

The Fink is obviously one, for his endless amount of years he put into announcing superstars to the ring. Not to mention his spectacular voice that could get anyone hyped up.

Anyone else think Vince is a Bob Backlund fan? He seems to have brought him back a lot over the years.

I wonder how homophobes like Hardcore Holly deal with a gay like Pat Patterson backstage.

I love how it's being made out to be that Undertaker stayed totally loyal to the WWF during the black period. Whatever. He was set to jump to WCW and take one of Ted Turner's huge paychecks before he found out he couldn't use the Deadman gimmick in WCW.

Could you give a bit more information on this like when this was supposed to happen. I always assumed that Undertaker was a loyal, company guy.

Dude is talking out of his ass most likely...

Plus dude if Turner was offering such a big check (as he probably was) I doubt Taker would have a gave a fuck if he was the Deadman or Abe Schwartz...Taker stayed loyal whats so hard to believe about that?

Taker was set to jump to WCW. He couldn't use the Deadman gimmick so THEY didn't want HIM, not the other way around.

Correct. This was around 1996 I think. There was a lot of interest from WCW and I believe some from Calloway as well, but WCW lost interest when they realized they had no way of using the Undertaker gimmick, or even anything like it, and because that's all Calloway really has going for hiim they lost interest.

And on top of all that, the Iron Sheik called her a dumb old douchebag.

I'm sure they would have been better to sign him just to take him AWAY from the then WWF. Even if he's useless to WCW, he was more valuable to WWF.
