It's the "for that matter" that made it confusing, Carlito B.

 

I think "especially" would have made it clearer, since "for that matter" normally means something different than the way you used it. It's normally used to mean something along the lines of 'what you said, and THIS other thing as well'.

 

Like, if it was originally said, "Calgary doesn't have much street cred."

 

And you responded with, "All of Canada lacks street cred, for that matter", it would have been the correct usage.
