Guest dlb19338 Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Can somebody please tell me why the WWE changed the entrance music on the Wrestlemania Anthology DVDs for some of the wrestlers? Example - Demolition in Wrestlemania 4,5, and 6 has different entrance music. Same with Akeem in WM 6. Did the WWE lose the copywrite to their original entrance songs???
Guest dlb19338 Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Well, you're obviously new. Yep...sorry.
spman Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 In all likelihood, it has to do with WWE not wanting to pay royalties to song writers, or musicians who played on the songs. This mostly pertains to songs composed by Jimmy Hart, and songs off the Piledriver album.
JN News Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...c=76228&hl= As you can plainly see, I was one of the first ones to realize this thing.
Slayer Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 One of many reasons why I ceased buying WWE DVDs a long time ago. Music royalties creating difficulties for DVD releases isn't exclusive to the E, either.
JST Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 It's really odd to see Hulk Hogan doing the more relax 'Hollywood' walk to the ring, while hearing Real American.
Jericholic82 Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 then how come they didnt have a problem when they relased the vhs wm legacy collection? hell thewy didnt even edit out real songs either anyhow yea this is old news but still newsworthy.
