CZW Presents "Last Team Standing" on October 14th

Recommended Posts

From CZW:

Quite a bit of news to bring to you as we prepare for the October 14th CZW Event at the New Alhambra Arena. We will bring you constant updates on CZWrestling.com to keep you up-to-date on all the breaking stories, match developments, and news concerning our huge show. We will also be attempting to answer any concerns or questions about upcoming events, injuries, and other issues pertaining to the product.

The October 14th event is named “Last Team Standing” and, along with several other great bouts, will showcase an Eight Team Single-Elimination Tournament for the vacant CZW World Tag Team Titles.

Combat Zone Wrestling Promoter/Comissioner Hon. Maven T. Bentley, Esq. stripped the BLKOUT of the titles on September 9th due to the original championship team no-longer being fully affiliated with the company. Obviously, this pissed off Eddie Kingston, Ruckus, new BLKOUT member Ricky Reyes, and “Primo” Robbie Mireno, who was overseas in Italy at the time. We can tell you that BLKOUT will get their chance to take what they claim was stolen from them on October 14th.

Announced Teams Participating in the Tournament:

- CHIKARA Campeones de Parejas “The Kings of Wrestling” – Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli

- BLKOUT – Who have withheld the team members names at this time

- TEAM AnDREW – Drew Gulak & “The Future of Sambo” Andy Sumner

- Cheech & “The One Hit Wonder” Cloudy

- THE NJ ALL-STARS – J.C. Ryder & Lucky

- THE H8 CLUB – “The Future of Hardcore” Nick Gage & “The Ultraviolent All-Star” Justice Pain

That would leave 2 spots remaining.

There are a lot of rumors regarding these spots. I can tell you that the BLKOUT have threatened certain legal actions against the company due to the tournament even taking place in the first place. Because of this, BLKOUT may very well be allowed to enter a second team into the tournament. As seen on CZWrestling.com, Ruckus will be announcing the brand new member of BLKOUT on October 14th. Who could this be? Will he be on the 2nd team? What combination of BLKOUT will be entered? Check CZWrestling.com as we lead into our HUGE October 14th show for more details.

As for that 8th spot?

Nothing is set in stone, but the promoter is working dilligently to try to bring back a very popular duo back, by offering them a chance to become the CZW World Tag Team Champions at "Last Team Standing". Hopefully, they can be signed to compete at this event. How popular are they? Let's just say that, IF they can be signed for the 14th, there's sure to be a full crowd of "Little Masturbators" cheering them on to the gold.

Check back online throughout the weeks, as we'll have full updates on:

* A breaking story about the mental state of "The Future of Hardcore" Nick Gage, and an attempted explanation for his strange behavior over the past 3 months.

* A story on brand-new CZW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Jigsaw and his hard-work to get to the title!

* Speaking of Jigsaw...apparently there are several faces in CZW who want his title...that have NOT been included in the Jr. Heavyweight Division and are pissed off about it!

* The Necro Butcher's status for October 14th...will he be there? Will he not? Alright, the crazy bastard WILL BE THERE. But in what capacity? Who's he after?

* CZW Iron Man Champion LuFisto! What's next for her?

* Updates on the injuries to Ruckus, Chris Hero, and Pandora at "eXpect the uneXpected".

* Mana and DJ Hyde nearly broke each other's skulls last week. Rumor has it Mana is coming back for more...

* The return of Drake Younger!

All this coming soon. Check out CZWrestling.com for more information, as we roll into an exciting October month with two great shows.

The sad thing is, Kingston's the CZW Champ now and I'm just about the biggest Kingston fan going. But CZW's booking is so shockingly terrible nowadays, it's hard to be excited about any of it.

Infact, replace 'Kingston' with 'Jigsaw' and 'CZW Champ' with 'Jnr. Hv. Champ' I've got the exact same problem.

Just stick Necro & Toby in the tournament and do another round of matches with them against the H8 Club. Still waiting for a proper end to their feud without awful finishes and turds like Zandig & Nate Hatred getting involved.

Who knows what will happen though, on recent CZW booking form at least two teams in the tournament will split up as well as 2 or 3 other barely explained face/heel turns during the show.

There's also Nick Gage's (i think Gage has it at least) Ultraviolent Underground Title that they bring out for random deathmatches every now and then, but i don't know if they're still using it or if it's just been forgotten about.

CZW returned to the ECW Arena before a good crowd for their Tag Team Tournament. The crowd attendance was helped by CZW promoting the hell out of storylines on its own media.

First round matches- Tag Team Tournament

Kings of Wrestling defeated Team Masturbation (Excalibur and Beef Wellington). After the match, a disappointed Excalibur to Beef Wellington said "it was better if they masturbated alone from now on". I don't write this stuff, folks...just quote it.

Team Andrew defeated Cheech and Cloudy. After the match, Cheech turned on Cloudy yet again for costing them the match. Sounds like your basic S&M tag team relationship here....Cheech and Cloudy back together for a match, Cheech and Cloudy lose, Cheech turns on Cloudy after the match again.

The new version of BLKOUT (for the moment)... Ruckus and The Human Tornado defeated JC Ryder and Lucky.

The H8 Club defeated Dead Presidents. Dead Presidents did not impress...to the point that when they came out for a late show run-in, they got a "Don't come back" chant.

Non-tournament match/CZW Iron Man Championship

Lufisto defeated DJ Hyde to retain the CZW Iron Man Championship.

Post-match, Beef Wellington and Sexxxy Eddy came out to try to talk Lufisto out of wrestling "the biggest guys on the roster". She thanked them but said she'd go right on doing what she'd done in Canada. Up pops Nick Gage, continuing his loose cannon gimmick of recent months. He jumped Lufisto, with Sexxy Eddy and Beef Wellington backing out of the ring.

Lobo came out to calm Gage down, and gets slapped in the face by Gage. Then Zandig comes out, only to Gage jump all over both of them.

Second round matches- Tag Team Tournament

The Kings of Wrestling defeated The BLKOUT (Ruckus and Human Tornado)

Before the match, BLKOUT demanded that the match be made for the CHIKARA Campeones de Parejas and the ROH Tag Team Titles (some fans swore they could hear Gabe Sapolsky screaming all the way down in Bushnell, FL).

Post-match, we got one of the major angles of the night.

After the loss, Ruckus confronts Tornado about losing the match for BLKOUT and said BLKOUT "doesn't dance". them. Tornado Tornado slapped Ruckus for being "a playa hater". Ruckus and Robbie Mirino then turned on Tornado and lay him out. Sabian returned to help BLKOUT with the vicious attack.

Blazini (who looked pretty much like a kid playing Super Dragon for Halloween) came out to make the save for Tornado.

At this point, Onyx and Rain Man, formerly of NWA Wildside...and who first used the Blackout name... hit the ring. All hell basically broke loose until Onyx and Rain Man told BLKOUT that they were here for paybacks (there had been online challenges back two years ago when Onyx and Rainman were still in Wildside and BLKOUT debuted as a stable in CZW). All concerned then brawled right out to the street out the ECW Arena front door.

The H8 Club then defeated Team Andrew to advance to the CZW Tag Team Title Tournament Finals. Kind of a squash for my taste, given all the buildup that Team Andrew's gotten over the last three months.

Non-tournament match/CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship

Jigsaw defeated Sexxxy Eddy and Luke to retain the CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship. Good match, but wish it had been earlier in the show, as crowd was a bit burned out, since the show was past 11:20 pm at this point.

Non-tournament match/CZW Heavyweight Championship

In a great ass-kicking match, Eddie Kingston defeated Necrobutcher to retain the CZW World Championship after a Backdrop Driver on the ECW Arena ring stairs set up in the ring. The match featured brawling all around the crowd and the usual psychotic Necrobutcher bumps....along with a Necrorana.

CZW Tag Team Title Tournament Finals

Kings of Wrestling defeated The H8 Club...well....kind of....sort of...a little.

As the match started, Pain announced that Gage had "left the building" (apparently more "Loose Cannon" shtick). Pain then introduced his partner for the match, the Human Tornado. In the middle of the match, Pain walked out "to look for his brother", leaving Tornado to deal with Hero and Claudio. Needless to say, Tornado took the pinfall.

BLKOUT comes out to dismantle the Hero and Castagnoli. Necrobutcher made the save swinging around an ornage construction cone. Hero then got on the mike to challenge Eddie Kingston again.

CZW returns to action this afternoon in Middleton, DE at Frightland with a hardcore show.

Looks like i was right about half the teams splitting up and a bunch of illogical turns happening on the show, though predicting those things to happen on a CZW show in 2006 is hardly going out on a limb.
