St. Gabe Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 Don't get me wrong, I like Rio and Hungry like the wolf, but are 2 songs worth going to a show? The show is the first event at a new venue in Hoffman Estates called the Sears Centre, but I dont know If I'll want to go. Any big time Duran Duran Fans in the Chicago area? If so, maybe I can give you a decent deal on them. I should gety them in the mail by friday. Or you could try to convince me to go.
Black Lushus Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 Duran Duran rocks man, you should go...I saw a 2 hour concert on one of the INHD channels not too long ago and it looked like fun. I think it was a show from 2004. I'd go if I were out that way...that's right, I said I would go and I like that group.
cd213 Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 If you are a fan of the music then it is worth it to just say "I saw Duran Duran." I have tickets to see Iron Maiden and one of my friends who is a metal head isn't that big into them but said he would still go to say "I saw Iron Maiden." It's worth seeing one of the best New Wave bands of all time.
Black Lushus Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 I'm not a Maiden fan, but I'd go if I had tickets, no question. Really, I'm not a fan simply because I haven't taken the time to listen to much of their music.
The Amazing Rando Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 You mention Rio and Hungry Like The Wolf, but no mention of NOTORIOUS? ...for shame.
JangoFett4Hire Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 I bet you know more than those 2 songs. The Reflex Ordinary World A View to a Kill Girls on Film A few others. It's not like you have tickets to Black Lab or Primitive Radio Gods or (insert name of one hit wonder here).
Zack Malibu Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 Well I'm not in the Chicago area, otherwise I'd gladly take those tickets off your hands. One of my favorite bands of all time. There are surely at least a good 5-7 songs by them that you've had to have heard at least once in your life.
Guest Felonies! Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 Let's talk about a deal. How much would this cost, and when is it? I probably can't make it down unless it's Thursday night through Sunday night, and besides, why would I go to a Duran Duran concert?
