Feels like Oasis's take on northern England from like 10 years ago, which was inferior to the Smiths' take on northern England from 20. To be fair, apart from a brief line or two in Shakermaker, Oasis never captured the Northern vibe & the Smiths were dreary shits, who only put Salford in in their videos to make them look even more dreary. Same goes for the whole "MADChester" sound, it never really captured the feel of Manchester, it just represented peoples changing attitudes up & down the country.
