Big Ol' Smitty Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Santorum is conceding, and wants to thank God. That makes two of us. Finally, some proof a God of some kind exists. How that guy lasted this long is a joke. Now if we can get Ted Kennedy out in the future, things will be looking up! Erm, Kennedy just won another 6 years. He's in for life if he wants. Although that might not be too long. I met him this summer & he looked pretty rough.

You know, Robert Byrd and Ted Kennedy are in the same re-election class, and are currently the two longest serving members of the Senate. One of them will have to retire eventually. edit: And some of you are thanking God for Robert Byrd right now for keeping Kennedy from ever becoming President Pro Tempore. Timmy8271 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 oh man Olbermann is just biting his teeth having to say it looks like Allen will win.
Gary Floyd Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 According to an MSNBC poll, more people think Allen respects minorities and Webb respects women. I take it that it's still the 1930's over in WV.
Perfxion Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 RI gamblers just cross in to CT to the two casinos all within 30 mins of ANY part of RI. Wine in Grocery stores is what CT has been used to since forever. We just have our wine shops NEXT door. Shays looks like he won...yet not even 30% in. Lieberman won, yet less than 2% margin and under 50% of the polls. If I hear one more thing on the War, I will fucking scream.....
SuperJerk Posted November 8, 2006 Author Report Posted November 8, 2006 If I hear one more thing on the War, I will fucking scream..... **covers ears**
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Omalley wins! BOO! thats rediculous I can hardly wait for the increase in sales tax...ugh..more traveling to DELAWARE for tax free shopping for me!
bobobrazil1984 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 yeah starting to look like the Dems will come just short of the Senate and take the House, which is kinda what i thought.
Gary Floyd Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Oh great, I knew the Republicans would win somehow. Now I'll have to hear about how our country is divided for the next month or whatever, as shitty conservatives gloat and shitty protetsors complain about Middle-America.
SuperJerk Posted November 8, 2006 Author Report Posted November 8, 2006 Oh, look, its Our Moderate Messiah on MSNBC. Chris Matthews is asking McCain when McCain first realized the Republicans were corrupt, and McCain's actually answering the question. Fucking hell.

Nice to see someone else who thinks McCain is full of shit. His schtick has reeled in a lot of suckers.

Chris Matthews is asking McCain when McCain first realized the Republicans were corrupt, and McCain's actually answering the question. Fucking hell. I was just watching McCain on foxnews and he got this big shit eating grin when the guy made the "outsider comparison" with him and Reagan, just after commenting on the 1970s big republican loss. It's so obvious, he wants to be the Reagan figure, the "outside the establishment Republican who CLEANS UP and rescues the Repubs". Its his whole big plan for '08. personally i soured on him the moment he started cozying up to jerry fallwell.
SuperJerk Posted November 8, 2006 Author Report Posted November 8, 2006 Based on the interviews I've seen so far, the Official Republican Spin™ tomorrow will be "The American people voted us out because we weren't conservative enough and we lost our way."
Art Sandusky Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Boy, a lot of you guys jump to conclusions. I'd enjoy a Democratic win tonight just to see Czech squirm. These election threads always bring out the worst in us. Some of the crap I'm seeing from all sides here is, well, crap.
Vampiro69 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 The venom has been out in full force tonight in this thread.

Big Ol' Smitty Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 I thought it had been pretty civil...
vivalaultra Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Gah, Texas is still Republican. Kinky came in 4th. Kinky didn't even come in first in the race for Justice of the Peace in Kerrville, TX! And in the race for State Rep. in District 29, the leader with 63% is Rep. Glenda Dawson...who died three months ago. Oy vey....at least Dem. Nick Lampson is gonna win Tom DeLay's old seat.
SuperJerk Posted November 8, 2006 Author Report Posted November 8, 2006 McCain makes me sick. He's consistently been W's cheerleader for the last 5 years, but the press still treats him like this maverick outsider. I liked him in 2000 because he complaining about the money in politics, and was the only Republican saying we should use the budget surplus to pay down the debt.
Art Sandusky Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 I wasn't aware that wine and gambling turned someone into a degenerate before I read this thread. For that, I am grateful.
Timmy8271 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Harry Reid just said there will probably be a recount in VA. I can't wait to see Colbert/Stewart's reaction to tonight. My highlight of the night was Dick Armey on MSNBC having to sit there while Chris and Keith read the democratic wins.

Yeah, I can't believe how mean we've all been to each other. Can we still be friends? Maybe we can get togehter later and eat raw cookie dough and braid each others' hair.
BUTT Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Did anyone actually expect Kinky to win?? Come on now.

Look dude, I know you don't like McCain. That out of the way, quit complaining about him already. You act like he raped you in your sleep or something. I was wishing Kinky would win in Texas. I knew it would most likely never happen, but come on, he sang "Asshole from El Paso" and had a cameo in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre II." I love how Czech has switched into reactionary conservative mode over the last few days/weeks. It cracks me up to see him squirm.
Big Ol' Smitty Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 They're talking recount in VA...

Having said that, this is a guy who has completely betrayed his own principles and sold his soul to get on the good side of the Republican base. He is not the man he pretends to be.

Guest Felonies! Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 The Republicans deserve to take a hit here because they've done a terrible job, but it's so distressing to see the Democrats in power now, and knowing that Olbermann, Stewart, and their ilk are patting each other on the back for how they finally took those sons of bitches down.
