I think they played one against the Angels a few years back, but I'm not sure. The Yankees are going to sweep this group of over-achievers.

Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 2, 2006 The sad part is that Alaskan conversation will be so much better than when the Yankee brats start 'er up.

Guest Smues Report post Posted October 2, 2006 I remember him originally being from somewhere in Washington state, but somehow I missed the story of how he went near Anchorage to become a doctor dealing with the eccentric characters of a small Alaskan town I didn't think it'd be like Northern Exposure, and then the 2nd week I was up here I was stopped in traffic on a major road by moose. I guess I was wrong.
Guest Smues Report post Posted October 2, 2006 So, really, how did you find your way up there? Got a job up here that didn't require a zillion years of experience like all the local stuff seemed to.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2006 Yankees sweep, total margin of victory should be roughly 18.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2006 The Yankees are favories, but it is foolish to think the Tigers are going to be chump opponents. Bad teams don't win 95 games.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2006 The Yankees are favories, but it is foolish to think the Tigers are going to be chump opponents. Bad teams don't win 95 games. Good teams don't play .380 baseball during the last 50 games of the season, especially when there was a point that they could have missed the playoffs because of it. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 2, 2006 No, they play .480 baseball. Like the champions last year.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2006 Burn. Yankees are the obvious favorites, but this isn't going to be a cakewalk. I'm still jaded in regards to the Tigers getting this far, but curiosity makes me want to see the Yanks exit early merely for the reactions around here. naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2006 10% is the difference between being a career minor leaguer with cups of coffee and a .300 hitter. If Detroit wins a game in this series I'll be stunned. They couldn't beat the mighty Royals at home, but they're gonna beat the Yankees? Also, the Sox won their last 5 last year heading into the postseason, sweeping the Indians who were on fire towards the end. Detroit lost their last 5, including getting swept by the worst team in the sport at home.
