Guest NYankees Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Too many ignorant movie fans out there. The Departed should have done 50 million plus since the other movies sucked.
Guest Smues Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Yeah because the target audience for Open Season really would enjoy The Departed.
Gary Floyd Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Wow, Scorsese has the top movie in the box office this week. I really expected Chainsaw to take it.
DMann2003 Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 I am happy to eat crow in regards to the Departed making it to #1, I too was resigned to seeing "Texas Chainsaw" take top spot. 27 mil, that's probably Scorsese's best opening.
razazteca Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Yeah because the target audience for Open Season really would enjoy The Departed. Grandpa and grandma would of.
Guest NYankees Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Yeah because the target audience for Open Season really would enjoy The Departed. I was thinking about people who wasted their money on TCM and Employee of the Month.
Epic Reine Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 I really thought Dane Cook would take the top spot this week. It just shows that mediocre comedians and overexposed singers don't draw.
Ginger Snaps Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Eat it, Dane Cook. Ha. It makes me happy.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Glad to see I'm not alone in my dislike of Dane Cook. Man, that guy is just not funny.
cabbageboy Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Why is anyone surprised that a movie by Scorsese that stars DiCaprio, Damon, Nicholson, Wahlberg, etc. was #1 at the box office? I like R. Lee Ermey but still wouldn't go see TCM over Departed.
