Too many ignorant movie fans out there. The Departed should have done 50 million plus since the other movies sucked.

Wow, Scorsese has the top movie in the box office this week. I really expected Chainsaw to take it.

I am happy to eat crow in regards to the Departed making it to #1, I too was resigned to seeing "Texas Chainsaw" take top spot.

27 mil, that's probably Scorsese's best opening.

Yeah because the target audience for Open Season really would enjoy The Departed.

I was thinking about people who wasted their money on TCM and Employee of the Month.

I really thought Dane Cook would take the top spot this week. It just shows that mediocre comedians and overexposed singers don't draw.

Glad to see I'm not alone in my dislike of Dane Cook.

Man, that guy is just not funny.

Why is anyone surprised that a movie by Scorsese that stars DiCaprio, Damon, Nicholson, Wahlberg, etc. was #1 at the box office? I like R. Lee Ermey but still wouldn't go see TCM over Departed.
