The trailer for Robert Rodrieguez's entry into "Grindhouse" (coming out spring 2007) is up. It's a zombie movie, and it has Rose McGowen as a stripper who has a machine gun for a leg, Tom Savini, Jeff Fahey, Freddy Rodriguez, Michael Parks, Josh Brolin, Michael Biehn, Naveen Andrews, Marley Shelton, and Danny Trejo as a guy called "Machete." Anyway, it's really awesome. Oh, as for the cheering you hear in the background: it premired on the "Scream Awards" last night.

I agree. When I first heard about it I thought it was stupid, then I saw it on the Scream Awards and it looks great!

Much better than any other awards show on television and seeing Battlestar clean up was pretty cool. Seeing Korn do that thing they call music wasn't so cool.

Actually, the Machete stuff is supposed to be a trailer that shows between Tarantino's and Rodriguez's films.

 

These films look like they could be fun, I'll pony up the $6 to see them. if From Dusk Till Dawn is any indication, a Tarantino/Rodriguez collaboration could rock.

If Machete's not a major part of the movie (and by that I mean "never leaves the screen after he's introduced") I'm going to be mighty pissed.

 

This movie looks like it's going to be so purposely cheesy and over-the-top rediculous that I must go see it.

I dunno, his main gripe seemed to be the musical guests, which I agree were fucking deplorable. besides that though, the show was pretty entertaining.

 

The award winners in a lot of categories sucked. Brandon Routh winning when he's a wooden as wooden can be stood out most, with SAW 2 not getting a best horror nomination over THE HILLS HAVE EYES.

 

Nothing can top how horrible the music guests were.
