CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Today will be remembered as the day John L. Smith unofficially lost his job.
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Naaaah that already happened a few weeks ago. But looks like the Spartans might get back into this game.
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Not that I can see it but Nebraska takes the lead with under five minutes to go.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Nebraska with a really nice flea flicker to grab the lead on UT Not unlike the one they used to beat OU back in '01... ironically the last time they beat a top 10 team
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Snow's really falling in Lincoln now.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Go Huskers! This is a great game to tide me over until 3:30. It looks pretty cool there right now with the blowing snow and all. EDIT: Florida State has BLACK jerseys?
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Northwestern has blown a 38-3 lead and Michigan State just intercepted it in Northwestern territory. This would be a new record for greatest comeback in DI-A history eclipsing the Frank Reich led Maryland 31 point comeback over Miami in 1984.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Holy shit, did Michigan State just tie it?
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 I wonder when the last time UT played in snow anyway, since they're typically stuck in the south for most of the late season, the Big XII title game last year was in Houston (instead of KC, as usual) and they usually wind up in warm weather bowls
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Haha, turned it right back over on the first play
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Looks like Texas is getting the ball back in Nebraska territory. Unless they get it to within the 10, I wouldn't feel very comfortable trying a FG if I was Mack Brown, though.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 FUCK FUCK FUCK I've had enough of this "Texas gets to win games and not choke" experiment of the last couple of years. Go away already. At least the wind is against them, or so the snow blowing around would indicate.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 How hard can it be to catch it, get past the 1st down marker, and go down? Keep the clock running while your opponent, who is losing, has NO timeouts.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 I hate both teams, but I need Nebraska to lose more to assist KSU (however little KSU does to help themselves) in the standings... hell, I'll even take Mizzou out of the North over the Red
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Oh my God, MSU just took the lead over Northwestern.

Bored 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Annnnnnnd folks we have a new record, Michigan State wins 41-38. And the announcer calls it "one of the greatest comeabacks in Michigan State history." Uhhhhh...
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Somewhere, Randy Walker's ghost is yelling "WE SHOULD'VE BEEN IN THE BALL GAME"

Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Quick flip through the channels reveals Miami only up by 5 on Duke I like Miami, but I would let out a big 'haha' if they lost this (especially given the whole situation)
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Not winning by 20 over Duke is reason for laughter.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Duke from the Miami 6. 3 seconds left. Holy crap. Let's see what happens. Can't believe they missed that. It would have been amazing.

snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 My local ABC station aired an intra-state game in lieu of Nebraska-Texas. Lame.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 Dear God. U of L looked fairly crappy again today in taking down Syrause 28-13. I'm not sure what the problem is, maybe Brohm isn't yet 100%. At this rate the Cards have to get healthy and ready for the Nov. 2 WVU showdown, because the way they're playing right now that one might be ugly for U of L. It disturbs me greatly, if you guys recall I talked all sorts of shit at the beginning of the season about how U of L is going to beat down WVU. It could still happen I suppose, but right now WVU looks undoubtedly sharper.
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2006 GO HUSKIES!!!! 17-13 UW, without Isiah Stanback, over Cal in the 4th. Also of note UCLA up 17-13 on Notre Dame, under five to go.
