Red Baron Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 He was, but Columbus doesn't even have a good goalie and defencemen to win big time games.
CanadianChris Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 6-3 Habs? Anyone see this? I'd been following along on the ticker on The Score. But 5-3 with 9 seconds left, and I'll assume that was an empty-netter? Sorry, CC. I listened to it a bit on the radio. This is quite possibly the most talented bad team in league history. Stupid penalties leading to Montreal putting the game nearly out of reach. ANOTHER shorthanded goal given up. ANOTHER soft goal by Gerber -- did anyone see Johnson's goal? He was almost at the blue line! Yeah, Kovalev's goal was an empty-netter.
Star Ocean 3 Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I actually get to watch the Sharks, and the Kings end up cheating to win, and not in a good way.
Red Baron Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 Johnson goal was ugly, but Gerber should have two of the goals especially on Komisarek's goal.
CanadianChris Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Roy Mlakar was on the radio this morning saying he's just going to wait out the Sens' problems, essentially saying they'll just fix themselves. My frustration level with the team is growing daily.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 *cough* 15-1-1 *end cough*
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 He was, but Columbus doesn't even have a good enough goalie or defencemen other than Foote to win big time games. EFA.
Red Baron Posted November 15, 2006 Author Report Posted November 15, 2006 Oh right. He's invisible it seems this year. I like how last night that Bryan Murray said that Gerber played his best last night.
CanadianChris Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I like how last night that Bryan Murray said that Gerber played his best last night. Bryan Murray has had a hard-on for Gerber ever since they were in Anaheim together, and is in complete denial.
Red Baron Posted November 15, 2006 Author Report Posted November 15, 2006 Chris. Would you like to have Lalime back?
CanadianChris Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 The current Lalime, no. I'll take the '02-'03 Lalime back, though.
Red Baron Posted November 15, 2006 Author Report Posted November 15, 2006 I'm calling 8-1 Buffalo over Ottawa tonight.
CanadianChris Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 No way is it that lopsided. I'll say 4-3 Buffalo, just like the last time they played.
treble Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I'm sure Chris is loving the rumours of the Sens hiring Pat Quinn as their coach or GM should Murray or Muckler get fired.
CanadianChris Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I'm sure Chris is loving the rumours of the Sens hiring Pat Quinn as their coach or GM should Murray or Muckler get fired. I hadn't heard that rumour. It would certainly make it a lot easier for me to go back to the Leafs.

treble Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 They mentioned it a bit on Sportsnet and TSN tonight. They mentioned guys like Hitchcock and Keenan, too, the Quinn rumour is the most interesting to me, though.

Yeah, I grew up as a Leafs fan. I was living and dying with them in the '93 and '94 playoffs when I was in university.
Red Baron Posted November 16, 2006 Author Report Posted November 16, 2006 I'm sure there is a Sutter still available somewhere.
treble Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Well, I guess no one's getting fired tomorrow.
CanadianChris Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 About time they stepped up and won a third period. And against a good team, no less. This game only reinforces my belief that Emery should be the full-time #1.
Red Baron Posted November 16, 2006 Author Report Posted November 16, 2006 Yes he should, and should have since the beginning. Ottawa didn't need another somewhat starting goalie in Gerber. Habs win, 3-1. All three goals were on the powerplay, two of them were from Souray, who has eight allready this season, and Guillaume Latendresse added the other goal, which he has four allready.
Red Baron Posted November 16, 2006 Author Report Posted November 16, 2006 I really can't stand Gord Miller as a commentator, or him period. His voice is annoying and really makes a game unenjoyable. And at times he has this weird look on his face like he took a shit on a 15 year old asain girl on the chest while he's jerking off. I miss the days of TSN when they broadcast hockey and they had Paul Romanuck and Gary Green as the announcers.

This game only reinforces my belief that Emery should be the full-time #1. I realise this is easy to say coming off a seven-of-eight loss slump, but Emery more than proved he was the starter last March. 14 fucking wins in a month! And they had Morrison, a perfect back-up, at the time.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 he has this weird look on his face like he took a shit on a 15 year old asain girl on the chest while he's jerking off. No, he doesn't. The fuck? Yeah, he's gone off his stick a few times. I've never seen a guy take a dump on an Asian chick. But unless he said "He shoots, he scores!" afterwards(which isn't that far fetched), that's a terrible comparison. And, even though we've been debating this since the 2003 playoffs, look at the guy beside him. I don't mind Miller at all. I miss the days of TSN when they broadcast hockey and they had Paul Romanuck and Gary Green as the announcers. Redeemed.

nl5xsk1 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 If Gord Miller's anything like me, he'd have a look of sheer euphoria at that time. Big win for the B's last night. Back-to-back wins for the 1st time all year ... yeah, it was against such powerhouses as OTT and WASH, but wins are wins. I'm hoping the momentum from the shootout win (ugh) will carry them to a revenge win after last Thursday's debacle versus the Leafs. My only real complaint with last night's game was the continued sucktitude of Paul Mara. He's playing better than Boynton - so the Bruins are "winning" the trade - but he's still bringing absofuckinglutely nothing to the table as far as I can see. I would have thought that an offensive defenseman would show occasional flashes of offense. So far, I've thought wrong.
Guest CWMwasmurdered Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I find Peter McGuire (sp?) to be far more annoying than Miller.
Star Ocean 3 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 It's great that the Ducks can give a down-on-their-luck team like the Flyers a win like that. That's charity. It's bad enough that Philadelphia plays in the eastern conference, but they have a bad record, too, so they needed that.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Man if the Ducks can't handle the Flyers, the Coyotes and the Blackhawks will kill us.
