Guest Princess Leena Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Buffalo on national TV! Holla!
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Speaking of Buffalo, them ripping Kent State last week was one of the biggest surprises. Kooky. I'm really liking the "Big East on Thursday!" schedule now that the big games are coming.
HarleyQuinn Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I-AA Revolution Game of the Week: #9 Cal Poly vs. #5 North Dakota State. WR Ramses Barden (774 yards, 5 TD) and RB James Noble (830 yards, 5 TD) vs. QB Steve Walker (1905 yards, 12 TD vs. 4 INT) and RB Kyle Steffes (1028 yards, 11 TD). Other big games - #19 Maine vs. #3 Massachusetts - #12 Northern Iowa vs. #14 Southern Illinois - #21 Princeton vs. Yale (both teams are 7-1) Potential upset games - Towson vs. #25 Richmond - #17 Harvard vs. Penn - #11 Hampton vs. Florida A&M - #23 Portland State vs. Sacramento State - #13 New Hampshire vs. Rhode Island
Art Sandusky Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Aww, no TBS game this week? I enjoy their broadcasts. It's also the only way I see Pac-10 games usually.
Bored Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 Strangely enough TBS is already done for the year with their schedule.
Art Sandusky Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 What?! Fuck! Great, now I'll have to watch the joke that is Fox Sports to see Pac-10 games. I never get them on ABC due to the whole regional thing.
teke184 Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Thank God that LSU-Alabama didn't get picked up by JP Sports or whatever the group is that does the 11 AM SEC games... I can actually enjoy my day BEFORE Alabama gets the shit kicked out of them.
Guest Princess Leena Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Akron is fairly good this year, so UB probably gets blown out. Then again, you never know in the wacky MAC. And there should be more 10pm EST games for west coast teams.
HarleyQuinn Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 For those with DirecTV, the following I-AA games can be seen on Saturday. 1:00 PM ET: Channel 626 - Georgetown vs. Lafeyette 1:30 PM ET: SPSouth (Unsure on channel) - Coastal Carolina vs. Gardner-Webb 10:00 PM ET: Channel 609 - Prarie View A&M vs. Jackson State 11:30 PM ET: Channel 610 - Northern Iowa vs. Southern Illinois Games I'd check out would be Coastal Carolina for QB Tyler Thigpen who has a 21 TD vs. 8 INT ratio and the Southern Illinois game for QB Eric Sanders of Northern Iowa (12 TD vs. 4 INT) and RB Arkee Whitlock (1191 yards, 14 TD) for Southern Illinois.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Is anybody else watching NIU and Toledo right now? They're playing in an insanely thick fog. This shit is awesome. Can't even see anything past 30 yards.
CanadianChris Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Tragedy for Miami...just reported on ESPN.com: University of Miami defensive tackle Bryan Pata was shot and killed Tuesday night at an apartment complex in Miami, Miami-Dade County police said. Police had no other details. Pata, a 6-foot-4, 272-pound senior, is from Miami.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 On a less incredibly offensive note, Iowa State coach Dan McCarney is done, resigning after 12 seasons.
Bored Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 This has a been a crazy first quarter.
CanadianChris Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 You don't usually see a blocked PAT run in by the offence for two. I don't think I've ever seen it myself.
CanadianChris Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Duke Vitale is everywhere!! I don't watch college football to listen to Duke Vitale!!!
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Absolutely massive break for Louisville there. Dag.
Guest NYankees Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Rutgers has come back from being 18 down to tie it at 25.
Guest NYankees Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 HOLY SHIT! Rutgers is now in field goal range and 20 yards away from a td.
Bored Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 Now in field goal range. They might tear down the whole stadium if they win it here.
razazteca Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 So if Louisville loses do they get bumped out of the top 10 and does Rutgers get a top 5 spot?
Art Sandusky Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Third straight week that #3 has gone down if Louisville loses here. Does anyone want to step up and prevent an Ohio State/Michigan rematch for the title?
Bored Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 There's too many teams in front of them to jump to the Top 5.
devo Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Third straight week that #3 has gone down if Louisville loses here. Does anyone want to step up and prevent an Ohio State/Michigan rematch for the title? God, I hope someone does. This city would be insufferable in the days leading up to that game.
Bored Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 HE HOOKED IT...offsides Louisville!!! Unbelievable.
Guest NYankees Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Offsides by the Cardinals to give Rutgers a second chance on the field goal. Rutgers takes a 3 point lead with 15 seconds left in the game.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Only 6 people, myself included, picked Rutgers to win in the Bored contest. If they pull it off, we would look like geniuses.
razazteca Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 There's too many teams in front of them to jump to the Top 5. But they are undefeated.
naiwf Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Holy shit. Rutgers is going to be in the top 10. The end is nigh.
