Eh. Heath's a decent fighter, but the fact is that whatever marketability he has is overshadowed by the fact that even with a consistency he's never had he'll struggle to be amongst the 5 best UFC HW's.

Probably true, but I'm just happy with any name fighters that they bring in.

 

I think he'd be top five. Probably would never beat a Vera or Sylvia or Arlovsky, but he could be competitive with anyone else.

Add in the possiblity of Cro-Cop, and I also think Napao would be even-money with him even with his questionable cardio.

Well, with all of Heath's faults the guy has very good sub defense, and he's extremely tough. A lot of people forget that he actually turned the tables on Fedor after taking a hellacious beating and came out of the first round looking pretty decent. I mean he was getting the crap kicked out of him, but he had Fedor smothered in side control and was delivering some good knees.

 

I think Heath is starting to get underrated, he's only lost to the best of the best. Hell, while I think he'd be a solid dog against the three I mentioned above, they have the fights for a reason, so I still think he would stand a solid chance at beating any of them.

Actually, he came out looking like somebody had raped his face with their fists. I like Herring but a sweep plus two knees in side control within the last ten seconds isn't anything special. I agree that he'd be a competitive HW to pretty much anybody in the current UFC division, though.

I acknowledged that, but the point was that even when getting the shit kicked out of him, the guy still brings it. He's got heart and is tough to finish, which is why I mention that while on paper he'd be a solid dog to a lot of the fighters in the UFC, he is tough to handicap because he is always moving forward and will never quit.

Dave says Cro Cop will be at tomorrow's PPV and he's facing Eddie Sanchez at the 2/3 UFC show.

 

 

EDIT: Well, actually, he doesn't say he's coming to the PPV, only that he's "coming to Vegas" but I took that to mean he'll be at the show.

All I want from UFC is to keep Wild Boys. Make a deal with Duran Duran if you fucking have to. It's not the same without that song.

 

The fact that Mirko comes out to DURAN DURAN makes him that much cooler when he's caving in people's faces.
