Fucking idiot; first time since that abomination of a trade that we've had a frontcourt player the fans gave a shit about, and he fucked up a great opportunity... Shit, our 4 slot is WIDE the fuck open; Williams had as good a shot as any of the other slugs we have of starting. And yeah, he wasn't going to develop into a superstar or anything, but he had the makings of being a solid roleplayer, and he was developing a Jon Barry/Yogi Stewart-esque cult following in Kings Nation.

Idiot.

Comeon, there is no proof that he did anything yet. He got accused of something. I would wait before calling him a idiot.

I stand by my comments; kid is dumb as a stump in the best of times, but he's a pogo stick and can block shots. Even if he's acquitted, he's still an idiot.

And, apropos of nothing, you'll pardon me if I'm not one of those sorts of people that tend towards giving the accused the benefit of the doubt. Maybe in a court of law it has to be innocent until proven guilty, but I ain't a court of law.

I really have to ask though, NOTHING has been reported about the case. He hasn't even been arrested. And you are saying that even if he is acquitted of the crime he hasn't been charged with yet, he is still an idiot. How exactly does that make him a idiot?

He's an idiot because he has a brain made out of cabbage; kid has a basketball IQ in the negative numbers. He would be an idiot if he had never been accused of rape. That just makes him a bigger idiot. And what is your definition of "nothing," anyway? News10 in Sacramento has been reporting this since late last night.

They have been reporting that police said they got a report of sexual assault and have questioned him and the other person that was in the house at the time and searched the house.

I don't know...maybe I just need a little bit more than "Someone called the police" to say "well, that fucker did it".

At the risk of annoying you guys with my team ala Marvin, I have to talk about tonight's game, since it's the first one I actually got to watch most of.

Indy's now 4-0 in the preseason after a 122-115 win against Memphis. We led by as many as 28 in the third quarter, and let them get as close as six, but other than that, we made the big shots when we needed to, we looked really sharp on offense, and it was great to watch. Marquis Daniels was all over the place tonight, and not having him the last couple months of the season was the difference between making and missing the playoffs, IMO.

Settle down, Francis. It's still the preseason.

I'll agree with you if they run off 9 of 12 or so to start out the season.

Wow. You guys act like I guaranteed a championship or something. The Pacers are, at best, a 7-8 seed in the East. All I've done is express confidence in our new system, and some individual performances. I didn't intend to place importance on the preseason record, but other than that, I fail to see where I'm overreacting here.

Sorry if I sound rude, but I don't really appreciate being mocked for expressing faith in my team.

I don't think it's fair either. Shit, it's just something to talk about, not like there's much else.

To follow that, Turiaf and Bynum combined for 33 points tonight. NYAH. Kevin Durant looked pretty sure of himself out there, but I thought Jeff Green's overall game was better.

I have no idea who the Lakers are going to cut, but it looks like it could be George Karl's kid, Sasha Vujacic, and another, provided that nobody's injured to start the season. The roster is overcrowded. If I had to pick, I'd dump those two, and Radmanovic.

Yeah. But he's not the right fit for this team, and the roster is so overcrowded that someone good's going to have to go. They had 14 NBA caliber players playing tonight, and Odom wasn't suited up.

Would the Lakers take assorted players that aren't Luol Deng in a Kobe Bryant trade? I know I'll get ripped for this, but I'd much rather part with Ben Gordon than Luol Deng. Not that there's gonna be a trade, anyway.

I don't think you'd get ripped. They're both good. Thing is, as King said above, I can't see the Lakers being too thrilled with a Kobe trade that doesn't get them a superstar back. A whole 1st line of good to very good players aren't that useful for them; they've already got too many guys. Ultimately, I think the "assorted players" would have to include at least two of Chicago's top three.

That would cut basically all of their shooters though

Why would you get ripped? In a theoretical trade, the Bulls would get a superstar and future Hall of Fame shooting guard. What would we do with Gordon?

Yeah, I know. But it's either cut them, or cut Kwame or Mihm. And Mihm's been excellent in the preseason, cutting him would be a big mistake.

One thing that has to be taken into account in a Kobe trade, is that Chicago is going to have to take a lot of our loose change, so to speak. Because of the roster overcrowding, we are going to have to match players with them. And no, there is no Kobe deal without Deng or Hinrich. It just does not happen.

I don't really think the Lakers are in a position to dictate trade terms. Kobe's got them by the balls. The Bulls aren't really that badly needing Kobe. He's a luxury and Paxson knows it. If the trade terms are too steep, they will simply laugh and just wait until 2008 or 2009 when Kobe opts out.

You would be surprised. The Lakers don't have to take anyone's trash if they don't want to, they could just wait it out and take the cap space if they're going to be forced into a shitty deal.

And the Lakers can dictate trade terms, because they have what other teams want. It's that simple. As long as he's not holding out, the Lakers have leverage.

Then they're not going to trade with the Bulls. We don't have any superstars: Gordon and Deng are great players, but neither is an All-Star, or even a big name. If they're just concerned with who Jack Nicholson will come to see, then we have nothing to offer. Sure, I'd like to have one of the greatest players ever in a weak Eastern Conference, but failing that, the Bulls still have enough to make a serious run.

I don't think anyone's suggesting that the Lakers take the Bulls' "trash," 909, unless Ben Gordon is trash.

I think they rather have Hinrich. Something like Hinrich, Deng, Thomas, and Noah.

Be realistic. What the hell are we going to do with Gordon with Kobe here? No. Any package the Bulls offer is going to involve Gordon. Gordon/Nocioni/Thomas/Noah will just be fine with me.

I think the Lakers could care less what the Bulls do.

And of course that'd be fine with you. It wouldn't be fine with LA though. That doesn't even match salaries either.

They have to care because it takes two sides to make a deal. The Lakers doesn't have to make the deal and neither does the Bulls.

I'm going to quit while we're here. It's pointless to discuss what happens because we don't know what will happen.

And that's why I said it depends on what the Bulls offer.

Any offer will have to include Kirk Hinrich. After that it's either Gordon or Deng (probably preferably Deng), and then Noah and Thomas.
