Overall, I gotta say... the show fucking sucked.

 

Undertaker vs. Nitro? He was throwing him around like a rag doll and didn't sell ANY of Nitro's offense. What was the point?

 

Cena vs. Edge? like I said, this rivalry is damn stale. As far as I was concerned, it was over and done for the minute Edge went crashing through those double-stacked tables at Unforgiven. You couldn't have asked for a more spectacular climax. Let it die.

 

Benjamin vs. Punk? oh... all that it could have been, it most certainly WAS NOT. no T-Bone? no Anaconda Vise?

 

Hardy vs. Umaga? Whisper in the Wind on Umaga was cool... other than that, they might as well have just spliced in footage of their previous match from two weeks ago. Fuck, I turned away from the TV for a few seconds, they may have.

 

Masterlock Challenge segment was totally queer except for JBL, coming through with the hilarious save. That man is hilarious.

I mean, if they truly wanted "easy fun" for the troops, just have a Diva Battle Royal Whipped Cream Bikini Match (I know, that doesn't exist, but it should). Can you imagine how long its been since some of those guys have seen anything remotely that cool? So yeah, if you're not going to deliver on my juvenile sexual fantasy, I want to see something a little more impressive put forth for the troops.

Also remember that they're wrestling mid day in fucking Iraq, that has to be unbearably hot and affect the quality of the matches.

plus th efear of being attacked at any time, come on there was an explosion 100 yards away or whatever when they were shooting footage of the troops. that has to damper this for some of the wrestlers.

I didn't bother catching most of the show last night. I was too busy actually getting to relax after a long weekend, and playing with some of my new gifts...plus I knew nothing substantive would happen on the show, anyway.

 

Did see a little of 'Taker squashing Johnny Nitro. Liked the look of the ring they used, but that's about it.

Regardless of the fans' opinions of the show's quality, it's always a classy move by WWE to do these shows for the troops (They don't make too many classy moves these days, do they?). I haven't watched wrestling since K-Fed first showed up, but I still made the time for this one.

Giving JBL a face run is something WWE should definitely look into. I rather enjoyed seeing him clothesline Chris Masters last night.
