Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 20, 2007 Yes, horrendous coverage such as that at 10 o'clock when the live coverage started Nalbandian down two sets to none was starting his third set tiebreaker against Grosjean, of course we didn't see it. True. But, ALL networks do that, and have forever. They're not going to show those types of players. Except the Tennis Channel/Eurosport when they have 12 hours of coverage purely for freaks like me. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 20, 2007 I heard on Fox Sports Radio that Sharapova was dropping F-bombs. She always swears to herself on court. Occasionally at her asshole dad, and her "people".

naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2007 I just got home and found out that both Mauresmo & Kuznetsova went down like dogs in straights to lesser players. If Serena wins her match against Jankovic she's cruising to the Final. Peer, and then either the Dementieva/Vaidisova winner or Safarova on the bottom half is a weak draw at a Tier II or Tier III much less the Quarters/Semis at a Slam. In the words of Dick Vitale "it's cupcake city bay-bee!". I hope Jelena pulls it off, but I don't think she will. Sigh.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 21, 2007 I wildly predicted Peer would make the final before the tournament began. If this happens, I have gloating time for eternity. Very good day for me, as a Peer and big Safarova fan. Now, someone, knock Serena out before the final and we have an acceptable Aussie Open on the women's side. Narcoleptic Jumper 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2007 silly me, I stayed up all night thinking Djokovic would make some miracle happen and beat Federer. I was wrong.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 21, 2007 Heh. There's no way Roger is losing here. Nobody in the top half scares him. I know Andrew beat him in Kooyong last week, but that doesn't count. If Nadal loses, which I think he will to either Murray or Blake, then Roger will coast to victory. naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Blake is fading fast after choking away set points in the first and a 4-1 lead in the second against Gonzo. How does a bum like this reach # 4 in the world with Fed and Nadal sitting at the top?
Jonathon 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Blake is getting impressive, but, at 28 he's all but ancient on the tour. I wish he was playing like this two or three years ago. That said, Gonzo is killing him.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Blake is fading fast after choking away set points in the first and a 4-1 lead in the second against Gonzo. How does a bum like this reach # 4 in the world with Fed and Nadal sitting at the top? Because he's good. And reaching the IW and Shanghai final helps. KING DAVYDENKO continues his reign on #3. Being the best of the rest. Oh, and Murray lost. Hehe. HATERADE.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 22, 2007 Blake is getting impressive, but, at 28 he's all but ancient on the tour. I wish he was playing like this two or three years ago. That said, Gonzo is killing him. But, he got shingles. Then, almost killed himself running into the net. He also didn't start on tour when he was 12, so he should have a few good more years at least. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2007 I hate Gonzales with a passion, ever since those chilean commentators started dubbing him as the "Chilean Sampras" or something like that, so I root against him whenever I can, damn that "he's from Latin America so I have to support him" crap. So even though I don't like Blake all that much I was hoping he would eliminate Gonzales, but then Blake started showing those ups and downs he's so common with, and after he wasted the break he got on the second set I just gave up on him. Nadal, Davydenko, Haas, anybody, please, I beg of you, don't let that idiot get to the finals.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 22, 2007 It's Chile. Who else can they hype since El Vampiro Massu has fallen down the ranks, and Marcelo Rios is amongst the biggest douches in the universe? Be nice to the Gorila.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2007 No fight yet from the soldier. If a fat, out of shape, rusty Serena wins her 8th Slam, I'm done with women's tennis for good.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2007 Peer punked out too. It's looking like a Rod-dick/Nadal & 'Pova/Williams weekend is possible which means not only will I not watch, I won't even bother to actively find out who won. How do you decide between the two players in the draw you despise the most?
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 23, 2007 What's the background for all the Serena hate? Look at her in this tournament. She's fat. Well, at least fat for a tennis player. Tennis fans in general are tired of the Williams' laziness. And it's bad for the game when come in whenever they please out of shape, playing to 50% of their ability, but yet they still can win because of their vast talent and other players get nervous trying to beat them. If Serena cared and gave any consistent effort, I'd be pulling for her as she'd be accomplishing Federer-like domination.

It's looking like a Rod-dick/Nadal & 'Pova/Williams weekend is possible which means not only will I not watch, I won't even bother to actively find out who won. How do you decide between the two players in the draw you despise the most? Maria/Serena is starting to look very possible... ugh. Either that, or KIMMIE, who's playing in her last Aussie Open! We'll miss nice KIMMIE! And I hate her the most. No way in hell Andy is beating Roger here.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2007 I have to give credit to both Serena and Peer, they put quite an emotional game where you didn't really know who was gonna come out on top. I don't usually enjoy women's matches but this was different. Props to Serena, who despite her being totally out of shape, managed to reach another semi, and if things continue like this she'll make it to the finals no doubt. Roddick totally overwhelmed that Fish dude. I mean, Fish didn't stand a chance he played so bad, it was really frustrating. I couldn't believe a guy who amazed so many by beeing unseeded and reaching the quarters could play this terribly. Roddick better be prepared for Federer now, it won't be a cakewalk like Fish was. Too bad I didn't see Roger's match vs Robredo, it's the first Federer match I miss on this tourny but it played so late. Like Leena said, no fucking way Roddick gets past Federer. If by any chance that happens then I won't bother watching the finals this year.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2007 Robredo palyed very well in my opinion. I picked Federer to win this tournament (leap pf faith, I know), but after watching the Robredo match and how well he played at the net, I'll be shocked if Roddick wins a set on him. Gotta set the alarm for Nadal-Gonzo.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2007 I had Haas in 5 and Nadal in 3. The Haas prediction was right on the money, but Nadal LOSING in 3 easy sets was just an unexpected turn of events that I'm thrilled about. I can't stand that little cheater.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2007 DP. As long as Serena doesn't win the Women's title I suppose this event can be salvaged, but I'd really love to see Clijsters/Vaidisova even though that probably has a 0% chance of happening.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted January 24, 2007 I had Kolya winning in 5, and Nadal in 4. Kolya. Nadal got hurt, though. "Q. What part of your leg is the pain in? RAFAEL NADAL: Well, it's not just the one place. I have pain here, in my famous ass (smiling). After I feel a little bit here, too (pointing to the inside and outside of the thigh). That maybe it's just tired, no? But down this way and in the ass is very, very painful, no?" Rafa's poor English: Not helping the stereotype that tennis players are gay.
