Well, I think that's about it for me. My 8-4 loss to the Kings of Crunk this week puts me 12.5 games out of a playoff spot with only 3 weeks left in the season. I'm officially out of the race now.

I can't believe I beat Iggy without Rios in the lineup.

Mwahahaha

Looks like I killed my playoff chances as I wasn't aware Aaron Cook was injured last week but he wasn't put on the DL until the middle of this wek so I still had him in my line up and because of that I'm going to end up 2/3 an of inning short of the minimum 28 for the week. It makes it worse as I piss away a good pitching week and on top of that I had a bad offensive week so it appears I'll lose 11-1. I was four games out of 6th place going into this week so unless I pull out a couple of skunk wins the last two weeks I'm heading to the consolation bracket.

Boy... this season has been utterly disappointing for my squad :(

Tell me about it. My entire pitching staff has been pure shit because of all the injuries to my drafted starters.

I'm going to call this a rebuilding year for my team.

I need to figure out why my team has stunk for the last two weeks.

Im blaming experimenting with trying to get Holds using Carlos Marmol while Guthrie has pitched like crap.

Im getting 2 starts this week out of Bedard/Vazquez/Marquis/Kendrick/Marquis this week..hmm

I'm getting a BYE week for the playoffs :) have fun fighting for 3rd place.

Im getting one too! WHEE!

Oh and I want to edit my keepers again..

Keepers

Erik Bedard Round 4

Corey Hart (Undrafted) Josh Willingham Round 6

Joe Nathan Round 2 Javier Vazquez Round 8

Chris Duncan Round 11 Jose Valverde Round 10

Brian McCann (Keeper from last year, Round 18)

Ryan Braun (Undrafted)

I think thats better, as I like Willingham more than Hart now, and taking Valverde (#1 Closer, 10th Rd pick) makes a lot of sense.

And Chris Duncan..meh..at the rate he's going he'll end up being a bench player next year.

I like how after I traded all my 'valuable' players away my team started winning. Since the initial mega trade for Prince Fielder my team has gone 24 - 13. This week I'm up 10 - 1. Those wins account for roughly 30 percent of my total wins for the entire season.

I'm very optimistic about next season.

Keepers for Random Hero as of September 1st, subject to change

1. Prince Fielder 1b Brewers (Round 6)

2. Homer Bailey SP Reds (Round 8)

3. Micah Owings SP Diamondbacks (Undrafted)

4. Justin Upton OF Diamonbacks (Undrafted)

5. Scott Baker SP Twins (Undrafted)

6. Clay Buchholz SP Red Sox (Undrafted)

I've got a ton of prospects that I'm keeping. There is a chance that some of them might not be in the yahoo player pool at the start of the season.

I know the Twins and Red Sox both are going to have a lot of arms to choose from for starting pitchers, especially Boston. Buchholz was a stud down in the minors. Hopefully in the remaining games, he can prove he's worth a spot in the rotation. Baker, in the past two months, has been the Twins second best pitcher. I think he should be able to make the opening day roster. With Liriano coming back next season, I'm hoping that Baker will remain in the lineup and Bonser, Silva, or Garza will get sent packing.

If for whatever reason any of those don't make the cut I'll use these two as alternates.

1. Gary Matthews Jr. OF, Angels (Round 14)

2. Lastings Milledge OF, Mets (Round 20)
