And was I seeing things, or did a few teams not actually hit the target during that Roadblock? Looked like some of them only hit the stake, causing the actual target to fall off & break. Looked like the BQ's and maybe 1 other team.

I'm pretty sure that Danielle's mask saw her boob pop out or something and fell off the peg, because her "successful" throw caught nothing but air.

 

I find it funny that the Guidos are once again 24 hours behind the lead team. Couldn't happen to nicer guys.

 

And yeah, total shennanigans on the "oh, the weather is bad".

 

The blank stare on Mirna and Schmirna's faces when Phil told them they'd won a pair of catamarans was priceless, though. As were the jokes from Ozzie and Danny that were continually flying far above their heads.

Too true. Not to mention the "enthusiastic" cheering when finding out what a catamaran was.

 

Scary thought - they've now almost won as many legs as Romber this time around.

I was waiting for the Blondes to get to that first Pit Stop, Phil check them in and award them the prize, then hand them a clue to start the next leg right then and there.

 

How ANYONE can hate Rob and Amber when Mirna and Schmirna are RIGHT THERE baffles the hell out of me.

Unfortunately, it was pretty obvious by the end of the first hour that the Guidos were going to be eliminated. There was no way they were going to make up half an hour on the other two teams on their bus, especially when the Intersection forced them to team up with a team that knew they only had to stay with the Guidos to not be eliminated. Poor planning on the producers' part.

The thing is, if it wasn't that, we'd probably complain about the bottlenecking at the airport.

 

Loved how the producers/editors went to town on the sausage comments. Juvenile as hell... and I loved it.

 

Mirna obviously has no clue how annoying she can get. At one point, I was expecting Charla to bash her with something after basically asking "What good ARE you?"

Last night's episode was fun. Uchenna and Joyce's elimination was well-deserved after their colossal blunder on flight selection.

 

Loved the Anchorman reference from Eric at the Yield mat. It's still annoying to me that everyone sees the Yield as a personal slight and proof of underhandedness, though.

And I'm pretty sure that there's a rule requiring you to bitch and complain about being Yielded. And if it makes Danielle feel better, she's the best looking person to be Yielded twice. Not that there was fierce competition, but still...

I liked that all the teams decided to race their own way last night. 3 different flight plans, 3 (at least) different plans to get to Batu caves. Sort of an anti-bunching leg. Even Mirna was pretty tolerable.

 

And I can't believe Charla/Mirna spent that much time on the cookie task, enough that they completely squandered several hours of a lead.

So, nobody likes the blondes, huh? All because they're somehow "dirty players" for using the Yield. All that plotting & planning, and they still come in 2nd on the leg.

If the spoilers are true, and Eric/Danielle win, they're going to be 1 of the worst winning teams. They really haven't stood out on any particular leg this race, and have been pretty dysfunctional all race. Of the 4 remaining, D/O and BQ would be the only deserving winners, and D/O are going out next week, so I really hope the spoilers are wrong about E/D winning and somehow the BQ's win.

 

Also, surprised to see no penalties from last week's show. E/D and C/M took taxis during the roadblocks when the clue said "proceed on foot" (which D/O and BQ's did). I guess the producers felt time penalties wouldn't really effect the upcoming leg.

Goddamn do I want Mirna to disappear from my TV screen forever. People hate Rob & Amber, but at least they were upfront in saying "We'll do whatever is necessary to win" instead of Mirna's "We want to win this fair and square, so I'm gonna browbeat airline attendants to make sure the Blondes don't get on a flight."

If I ran across Mirna on the street or somewhere, I think I would hit her. Or at least cuss her out. She completely interferes with my enjoyment of my favourite show.

Once again, teams fail to realize that the Yield is there to be used. Also, at least three teams have used the Yield and WON the Race, so yeah karma's a real bitch. Chip, Kim, the Linzes, Freddy and Kendra are all crying and using $100 bills to wipe away the tears thanks to Yield Karma.

I figured that as well. Time penalties are generally shown only when they affect placement or could affect placement. Otherwise they calculate time credits and penalties to come up with the "official" starting time for the next leg. Ao given that both teams were trailing, and both would be assessed the same penalty, there was no need to bother showing it.

That's an accomplishment for the BQs. Charla and She Who Must Not Be Named were next to last for about three legs in a row at the start, and could have (SHOULD HAVE) been eliminated any one of those times but for dumb luck (especially at the post office Roadblock).

 

As long as Charla and SWMNBN don't win, I'm OK. I'd love to see Dustin and Kandice win, because they ran the best race by far, but I wouldn't threaten bodily harm on the producers or anything if Eric and Danielle win, like I would with that other team.

At this point, the only team who deserves to win (insofar that they've raced the best, haven't been complete asses throughout the race, have fun doing the tasks) is the BQ's. If not for D/O's fast forward a few legs ago, they would have swept a number of 1st places in a row. Plus, they're hot, so I'm pulling for them to win.

 

D/E wouldn't be too bad, I guess, but I really don't want to see them win. Eric has proven to be a complete tool w/ how he's acted, especially these last few legs & being yielded, and Danielle always seems to be wanting to give up in the middle of tasks.

 

C/M winning would be the worst case scenario. Charla on her own isn't so bad, but that harpy she has racing w/ her is just deplorable.

The cousins had a bit of a brain fart at the Roadblock, btw. Mirna had only done 4 to that point, and now Charla's maxed out. BQs have an advantage over the other two there in that either one can do the task. Eric is probably hoping that the final RB has nothing to do with geography (specifically, flags) and memory.

 

BTW, the final stops:

Hawaii (expected since Continental is the only airline that flies eastward from Guam, and stops in Hawaii) and San Francisco (you probably noticed Alcatraz in the teasers)

If I'm Charla/Mirna ( **SHUDDER** ), I'm not too concerned that Charla is maxed out. This isn't going to sound so nice, but I'd rather have the full, able-bodied person doing the most important task at the end (assuming it's going to be a physical task).

 

As for the BQ's, I was reading some of the threads over at TWoP, and it seems 1 of the BQ's may be maxed out due to a non-aired Roadblock.

It was an interesting challenge for sure. I was hoping for Eric's "family" to be Jeremy AND the Hippies though. He and Danielle aren't the worst team to ever win - they're probably middle of the road.
