Tyson Tomko. When is he gonna get a match???

I think that he needs to wrestle someone. I want to see if he improved his skills. I think he could beating Bobby Roode in a mini fued would be good.

Why give Tomko a match when TNA has Hoyt who is basically the same as him doing nothing? Would a match on Explosion feed your need for Test clones doing the big boot and powerbombs?

Tyson Tomko is one of the worst wrestlers in the history of the galaxy. That is why TNA is hesitant to put him in a match. The dude can't even run the ropes without missing a spot. He's a fun henchman, but for god's sake keep him out of the ring.

I'm sure he might have some sort of non-compete clause, right?

Wouldn't WWE want him to compete...cause that would just DRIVE viewers away.

Actually, I think Tomko can be pretty good in the role he has now.

Tomko's good as the big guy that takes crazy bumps... hell, during the buildup to Money In The Bank, some of the craziest bumps were taking by him. He's big guy who's down to get his ass kicked, so he's useful. If he has figured out how to layout a match... then he'll automatically be in the top 15 of TNA's best.

Brent Albright disagrees with you....

True enough. Plus, no compete clauses usually bar you from appearing on the competition's TV show, as well as wrestling. I believe he was released full and clear from his WWE contract and told to goto Japan to hone his gaijin monster skills before he comes back for another shot. He'd be smart to stick with what he's doing right now, to be honest. He can probably make just as much, if not more, working for TNA and NJPW.

Tomko lacks basic coordination and the ability to do simple spots in the ring. I firmly believe WWE gave him the big boot as a finish since he couldn't do anything else properly. This isn't like Jamal, who wasn't a horrible worker in 3MW (a bit sloppy and dangerous perhaps) and then came back to WWE after a stint in Japan.

Besides, this thread is strange considering Tomko did get a match on TV against Abyss recently. It went to a DQ though. How funny is it they wouldn't job out Tomko to the guy who was the world champion at that point?

It couldn't have been that memorable a match then. As for the finish, they probably didn't want to beat Tomko in his first match, but I don't think it would have mattered if Abyss had won clean because Tomko is strictly a bit player and doesn't need protecting.

After Tomko left WWE, he went to work in Japan to improve his craft. He may very well be much better than he was when we last saw him.
