Guest Queen Leelee Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 GT gets a 10... but, look really good in that section. Winthrop gets an 11.. bullshit.
CanadianChris Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Ooh, Notre Dame drew a TOUGH opponent. Winthrop is seeded way too low.
Vampiro69 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Man 2 potential bracketbuster teams in Butler and Old Dominion getting paired up in the first round. That was kind of surprising to me.
Hawk 34 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 I was hoping to see MOH/Wisconsin instead. I love 41-45 type games. Instead, Oregon will blow out MOH about 74-56.
CanadianChris Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Has a Big South team ever won a tournament game?
therealworldschampion Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 ND is FUCKED. I really like Winthrop there. If Florida beats Maryland, they'll get to the Final Four.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 That's a really deep region... lots of lower seeds should be higher there. All the way around. Even to CC, who's better than a 15.
iggymcfly Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 That Midwest bracket is stacked. Winthrop, Georgia Tech, Arizona, and Notre Dame are all severely underseeded. Add in that Wisconsin's the best of the 2 seeds and a lot of projections had UNLV as a 4, and getting out of there's going to be brutal.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Very nice region. Maryland's slightly overseeded, but I think that's going to be the strongest 10-13 block in the tourney.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Niagara in the play-in game? I thought they'd be a 15... but a TV game that's winnable. Fuck yeah.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Man, Va Tech got in with lots of fucking room. Illinois in? Well I'll be damned.
therealworldschampion Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Oh fuck, I didn't want Kansas in round 2.
Vampiro69 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Sothern Illinois vs Holy Cross will be a fun game.
Hawk 34 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Wright St could have been a bracketbuster team against someone unlike PITT. Now, they aren't.
Vampiro69 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Duke vs VCU? I think VCU can take that game.
CanadianChris Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Duke/VCU will be interesting. Very winnable game for VCU.
snuffbox Posted March 11, 2007 Author Report Posted March 11, 2007 Nice to see Illinois made it after all. They'll have a chance for an upset with some rest. That Indiana game in the Big 10 quarters took alot out of them before the Wisco game.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Now that Gonzaga is a low seed again, watch them do something with the pressure off of them.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 By contrast to the Midwest, the West looks pretty soft.
CanadianChris Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 And Arkansas is in. So is Texas Tech.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 They put Bob Knight in. Didn't see that coming.
Bored Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 5 teams from the Pac-10 already announced with a region to go. I think Stanford is getting in.
Hawk 34 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Stunned that they didn't go for a Indiana/Texas Tech match up.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Who did Vanderbilt blow to get that seed?
therealworldschampion Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 I think Nova can beat UK, but we're going to need a patented Kansas choke in round 2. I would LOVE to pay Pitt back in the Elite Eight.
snuffbox Posted March 11, 2007 Author Report Posted March 11, 2007 I could see Vandy being upset in the first round. Texas Tech. Hmm. Marquette/MSU is a neat matchup.
CanadianChris Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 5 teams from the Pac-10 already announced with a region to go. I think Stanford is getting in. If that's the case, Stanford is definitely in.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Drexel's Class didn't make it.
