SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 The title of the Diane Keaton movie must've scared submissive people into seeing it.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 The title of the Diane Keaton movie must've scared submissive people into seeing it. I might have to try and catch some of it on HBO, solely for the fact that apparently Mandy Moore prances around in a thong in it.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 The title of the Diane Keaton movie must've scared submissive people into seeing it. Wait...it had a title? Damn, I got so distracted by Mandy Moore and then horrified by the scene of Diane Keaton about to get some in that preview that I totally missed there was a title. Thank god Epic Movie collapsed. So I guess in two weeks, it's Sam Elliott's turn to rise to the top of the box office with Ghost Rider. Which leaves Norbit or Hannibal on top this upcoming weekend. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 didn't You Got Served do well in the box office, also? 48 million total, a 40 million dollar profit. Course the larger question is why did it cost 8 million to MAKE?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 I would imagine Omarion and Marques Houston asked for big time bucks so there you go.
Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 Night at the Museum is never going to leave the multiplex will it? I'm surprised at how well it's doing as I don't know a single person who has seen it. It's like the least hyped $200 million movie ever.
Insanity 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2007 IMDB.com had a really stupid report over this. They said the Super Bowl is the reason the box office this week took such a huge loss. I don't get it, how is this bad? Was The Messenger or the Keaton film supposed to make 30 million? And instead of scapegoating the Super Bowl, maybe it's because the two films that came out this week are total shit.

The Super Bowl would hurt Sunday totals so I would imagine that is what they are really referring too. If Messenger and Keaton movie had great Friday and Saturday totals and then suffered a severe drop on Sunday, then yeah it does make sense. I guess they figure the two movies could have touched the 20 mark. Course this is all mute and they are idiots if the Sunday numbers were the same for the two movies. Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2007 Wouldn't the Keaton movie benefit from the Super Bowl? Seems like it would appeal to an audience that would like to get out of the house and away from all the game hype.

Seems like it would appeal to an audience that would like to get out of the house and away from all the game hype. It's hard to say, some ladies figure if they know the Super Bowl plays and score well enough that they can trick a man into believing she's a sports fan. Thus reeling him in with the trickery and force him to watch it on DVD in the future. And the dating crowd kind of cuts off since most of the male population is watching the game. I think it's stupid but possible they have a point. All depends on how the weekend looked.
