AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 For the record, was that legit? I remember reading right after that she was wearing a prosthesis or something. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a prosthesis. On my original DVD copy they left it unedited.
4hartthreat 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 Something I've been wondering. How did they handle the infamous Mae Young incident? Is it exactly the same or did they edit some of it out? I don't know how it was handled originally, but there are huge "CENSORED" used whenever Mae is.... um... revealing. You don't see anything thankfully. On the original broadcast, they put big red censor x's up the second she started stripping, but when Moolah covers her up and she "busts" out again I guess they weren't expecting it and you saw her uncersored for about a second before the big red x's reappeared. I was laughing so hard I was choking. One of my favorite comedy moments in wrestling history.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 thankfully they edit that then lol, although this event did lead to Mae getting together with Mark Henry and giving birth to a hand so.....
Guest BlueStang302 Report post Posted March 26, 2007 I can't say for sure about the Moolah moment where you can see Mae for a second. I may have missed that part, although I don't recall it. I know that as long as I was paying attention, there was the CENSORED on the screen. I was curious what would happen because I had heard about the incident and I saw this post. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 another edit I noticed while watching the 89 rumble, in the floating logo intro, the music is different (probably cuz they had to have Gene overdub his voice here, cuz originally he said "The WWF, what the world is watching" here it says "The World Wrestling Federation....." anyhow 89 show was pretty good, the opening six man tag was done well and energetic with a hot crowd (gotta love Jesse mentioning the stupidity of the fans chanting usa for bret hart), womens match sucked, Haku-Race was surprinsgly good. The Rumble match was fun with great moments like the Demolition fight, Jake scares Andre, and the dissention between Savage and Hogan (and once again Hogan was in the wrong here, he did eliminate randy), plus the show long theme of Dbiase buying a better number. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 (and once again Hogan was in the wrong here, he did eliminate randy) The only thing Hogan did wrong was not own up to it. It's a f'n Royal Rumble. You're SUPPOSED to eliminate the other wrestlers!
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 Yeah if Hogan had owned up to it and said "Sorry brother, nothing against you but it's The Rumble and it's every man for himself brother" that would have been OK. But The WWF had to make Hogan too righteous to fess up to eliminating his buddy in a match that lives by its "Every Man For Himself" motto.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 With all this talk about Mae Young and Moolah, do you guys wanna hear a story I heard about the two?

Scroby 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2007 Ok, just to let you guys know, I'm going to leave some names out of this because I don't know if I'll get any heat for telling this story or not on a public wrestling message board forum. Never know whose reading these things. Anyways, so I heard this story from one of the former WWE names that was on the BAW show in McMinnville OR on the 16th. So a few years ago, someone was giving out viagra to the guys in the locker room. Well he eventually got caught and got put in wrestlers court. At one point Mae Young stands up and says "I don't know why you guys need that niagara?" Someone said "Niagra?". Mae replied with yeah "Niagara! That blue pill keeps you hard for a fucking week! No one needs to be hard for that long." Thats my Mae Young story. Pass that to your kin.
Boxer 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 I'm shocked that Austin's Disturbed theme was edited out during the 2001 Royal Rumble. Taker's was also edited with you're gonna pay, and when Haku was introduced, they edited out J.R.'s line about "back in WWF obviously" or something to that degree. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 (and once again Hogan was in the wrong here, he did eliminate randy) The only thing Hogan did wrong was not own up to it. It's a f'n Royal Rumble. You're SUPPOSED to eliminate the other wrestlers! That's what I meant actually anyhow watched the 90 show. Pretty mundane stuff except for the fact that the crowd was super-hot. The Bushwhackers got one of the biggest pops Id ever heard for them here, with the whole crowd doing the "arms" thing with them. The submission match was rather good though. Rumble itself was ok with fun spots and angles incorporated into it. watched like the first 3 matches of 91 yesterday. (which was the first rumble I ever saw-though I actually fell asleep suring the rumble match back then and thus missed the end) Man the rockers were over like crazy here and the match was so energetic. Bossman-Barb was surprisingly not bad. Slaughter-warrior wasn't as bad as it could have been due to savage's involvment. what a weird ending though. The bell didnt even ring and gorilla and piper insisted for like 2 mins that obviously the ref made a mistake and sarge was dqd. on the dvd though it cuts from sarge in the aisle celebrating to the next match, and koko b wares introduction (I asume this is where the intermission was?) and koko had his proper theme here, but why was he edited at the 90 rumble one (I know he used the same birdman theme at wm 6 so I assumed he would have had it at the 90 rumble as well?) they edited the disturbed theme in 2001? that sucks
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Watching the CV release of the '91 Rumble a few weeks ago, I noticed security lined the aisle in anticipation of Slaughter walking back with the gold. I guess WWE anticipated nuclear heat for Slaughter winning. When that didn't happen, I would think it would be a hint that Hogan/Slaughter wasn't the money-making machine they thought it would be. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 watched the 92 rumble, it actually has the coliseum exclusives in it (like hogan with alfred, flair with al where he reveals his number before the match, does this mean this dvd was recorded off the CHV tape? I tried to listen to when hogan was dumped by sid but it still sounded like they cheered for sid and booed hulk.
