Jake Roberts & Terry Funk

I was watching ECW Guilty As Charged 1999 on DVD, and there was this segment in which Funk explained his traitorous actions against Tommy Dreamer in ECW after N2R 1998, when Dreamer chose Jake over Terry to be his tag team partner in a tag match at that PPV. Funk stated that he hated Roberts a great deal in his promo against Dreamer.

 

 

My question is, was there any heat at all between Terry Funk & Jake "The Snake" Roberts? Because judging by Funk's promo at Guilty As Charged '99, it sure seemed like it.

I'd say most anyone who's been around Roberts much at all has "heat" with him. He is a complete embarrassment to the business.

Maybe you don't think being a wrestler is high on the scale of occupations, not sure, but nothing says a wrestler has to be a drugged out waste. This guy should still be part of WWE every week, as a manager, announcer or every now and then talent in the ring, but he was too weak. There's nothing good about him.

Jake comes across in shoot interviews and in Pick Your Poison that he's pissed off about how Funk allegedly lied to him about Beyond the Mat, relating how both Terry and Blaustein indicated to him that the movie would be a made for TV film about drug use in wrestling.
