cbacon Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 I've spent a lot of time on this and on other boards discussing the many things our American friends are doing to harm the world. I thought it was time to celebrate the myriad things Americans do every day, everywhere, to make the world a better place. When we look beyond the brutal dishonesty of American foreign policy we see the enormous contribution Americans have made globally in science, the arts and philanthropy. Take Bill Gates and Bill Clinton and their incredible contributions to fighting the AIDS epidemic in the Third World. This is just one small example of Americans showing that their country is more than just a genocidal delivery system for fascism. *thumbs up* http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...?hub=TopStories
Gary Floyd Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 That comic i posted is pretty much a good description of every post you make in the CE forums, you know that? If it keeps going like this, then I say we should just close the thread. I'm not in the mood to argue with you tonight.
cbacon Posted March 6, 2007 Author Report Posted March 6, 2007 Argue? Well EXCUSE me for thinking some Americans do good things
Dobbs 3K Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 It's not the fact that you're saying Americans do good things, it's the snide and sarcastic way of how you're presenting it.
Gary Floyd Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 It's not the fact that you're saying Americans do good things, it's the snide and sarcastic way of how you're presenting it. Just ignore him. He's only doing this to get to people, so just don't bother with him.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 He's actually not. Bacon is quite passionate in real life about said issues.
Big Ol' Smitty Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Thanks, Bacon! And here I was thinking all Americans were bomb slinging Iraqi rapists!
cbacon Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Posted March 7, 2007 Truth be told, I did start this thread because the article sparked my interest. Bill Gates is good people, imho.
cbacon Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Posted March 7, 2007 Even though i've officially converted to using Macs
Dobbs 3K Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 He's actually not. Bacon is quite passionate in real life about said issues. Most progressive liberals are.
CanadianGuitarist Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 C-Bacon > Slayer. Yeah, I'm goin TNA on the reigning favourite in the best poster tourney. Also, I'll give C-Bacon the benefit of the doubt here, and say this isn't a set-up, even if he was a little snide.
Big Ol' Smitty Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 He's actually not. Bacon is quite passionate in real life about said issues. Most progressive liberals are sexy. Thanks, Dobbs!
Guest Eagle Man Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Nothing to do with this, but whatever. http://archive.wgnradio.com:8080/ramgen/wg...urke070221mr.rm Two fine Americans, P.J. O'Rourke with Milt Rosenberg, discussing Adam Smith and P.J.'s book On the Wealth of Nations.
Special K Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 God, I hate you so much C-Bacon. genocidal delivery system for fascism. Cheese and rice.
Dobbs 3K Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 God, I hate you so much C-Bacon. genocidal delivery system for fascism. Cheese and rice. What, you didn't hear about all the ethnic cleansing the US is carrying out these days? Bush is Hitler, you know! All you have to do is put the little mustache on his picture, then carry it around while chanting "No Blood For Oil!"
Special K Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Don't try to subvert me with your Clash signature, man. And I'm pretty much very on the oppositte side of the spectrum from Invader, and you're even taking that from me! God, C-Bacon, you're such a twat.
Art Sandusky Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Cheney's the one you give the moustache. Bush gets strings that mysteriously appear at all of his joints.
2GOLD Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Cheney's the one you give the moustache. Bush gets strings that mysteriously appear at all of his joints. That was an awesome scene in Dream Warriors man.
Special K Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 I'd vote Selleck. If asked if I know what follicles I'd grow were I to be "King of Panache" It would sprout out my nose in hairy little rows just like Tom Selleck's booshy moostache! Tom's hair-covered lip, it just makes me fli pand prone to a horny heat rash It's woolly and thick like a caterpillar's dick I adore Selleck's booshy moostache! Other 'staches I've seen, in the places I've bean look just like Mike Farrell's from M*A*S*H! I despise that man's face It lacks the beauty and grace of Tom Selleck's booshy moostache! And what about Prince? Oh, don't make me wince! His looks like a wimpy eyelash! It lacks the weight and the girth of the best fur on earth known as Tom Selleck's booshy moostache! But I haven't the hair to grace my lip there and so all my dreams must be dashed My nose shall never feel the tickly, prickly appeal... of Tom Selleck's booshy moostache.
Toshiaki Koala Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Do people actually find Jerkcity funny? Gary's a good guy, regardless.
