Working in the United States

Recommended Posts

As a Canadian student, I was wondering what sort of bureaucratic processes I had to go through in order to get the proper paperwork to be eligible to work in the United States. I was thinking this summer but I'm assuming the process might take too long for that to be feasible. Does anyone here know exactly what I'd have to do in order to work in the US temporarily?

I don't know for sure, but check www.workpermit.com or search www.us.gov. I assume you need a work visa of some kind, but can't vouch for that.

Congrats, anyway, on coming to visit the greatest nation on Earth.

Just enter the U.S. through the southern border and you won't need any paperwork -- we'll even give you a driver's license.

"No, don't do that, Invader will shoot you. Hahahaha. Shut up old man."

Working Visa you don't need no stinking papers just be sure to get paid in cash. Just do what people do here setup a fake home address by getting a PO Box at the local Mail Box Etc. Come on you're white, speak decent English, it's not like you fit a profile as a criminal or anything so the homeland security shouldn't be giving you any trouble.

*BUZZ* Wrong.

It doesn't matter though, I've found a program that might take care of the paperwork for me. Whatever, I am probably just going to get a job in Toronto for the summer. It just won't be as fun as checking out a new place, that's all.
