CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Starting next year tournament winners receive an automatic exemption. Well, it's about freaking time they brought this back.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 I don't like that exemption. It's bad enough the Reno-Tahoe winner is guaranteed a spot in Kapalua. Plus, the exemptions from the prior year's money list drops from 40 to 30. Do not want.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Looks like pretty tough scoring conditions out there today. Only five guys are under par. Lefty is +4 through 6.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 And Els +6 through 9. Keep it up, Phil.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Phil reaches Amen Corner. Of course, the announcers blabbing about how he's in contention, and how Adam Scott swings like Tiger, but sucks and is horrible and can't putt and is nothing like Tiger. Despite leading Fat by 2 shots. And being ranked higher. And winning last week. Remember last year when Philly won Atlanta by 100 shots and he was the greatest. Yeah. Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Bogeys 12. Woo! It's because he's overprepared, of course.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Am I reading this right? Craig Stadler at -
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 There's always some past champion on the leaderboard for the first day or two. Ben Crenshaw was 5 back going into the weekend last year, only to shoot 79-78 and finish last. Fuzzy was -1 for a while today as well.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Where's Gay Brewer. Justin Rose is leading thus far at -3, due to having a fluke putting day.
World's Worst Man 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Does tsn.ca's webcast suck horribly or is it just me? Also, what's with the shitty 4:00 air time the TV broadcast? It's a major for Christ's sake.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 There's been complaining forever about the lack of Masters' coverage. It's probably due to the old fogies who run the tournament.

CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 There's been complaining forever about the lack of Masters' coverage. It's probably due to the old fogies who run the tournament. It is. It's why we've never seen Augusta in any of the TW video games, and only all 18 holes on Sunday for five years. Friday and Thursday coverage on TV just started 25 years ago, and this is the 71st playing of it (and 51st on television)
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Does tsn.ca's webcast suck horribly or is it just me? Also, what's with the shitty 4:00 air time the TV broadcast? It's a major for Christ's sake. Go to ESPN.com. There coverage is much better I tried that. It said the stream wasn't available in my area -- presumably because TSN.ca has exclusive rights to the Canadian stream. Faldo said the winning score could be over par this year. Based on what I've seen so far, I can believe it.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 I don't know about over par... but, it will be lower than we've seen in a while. For the first time I can remember, the course is dry, and there's no rain expected through the weekend. Plus, it will be chilly.
Guest Report post Posted April 5, 2007 +6 for Ernie Els is ruining my eyes.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Is Faldo even in the tournament?
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 5, 2007 No. Since Faldo is announcing every week, he might be done as a player. For the short term, at least.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Somehow, Tiger will finish -9, and the course will be lengthened again.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Ben Crenshaw is, for the second year in a row, among the Friday leaders. He's at +3, which is 5 back right now.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Mickelson +6 through 10. Gonna need a few bogeys to miss the cut. Fight.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 Tough luck, Leelee. Mick's around for the weekend, Adam Scott is not.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 7, 2007 Well, at least he'll be going off so early that CBS can't just have the Tiger & Phil show. This has been the most enjoyable Masters I can recall. Course is playing hard and tough like it should. Go Vijay! Oh, and I think I should officially give up on the hopes of Sergio winning a slam. He is the worst putter ever. I hate him. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 No one can putt at the masters, unless you leave the ball 3ft from the hole on each hole.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 No one can putt at the masters, unless you leave the ball 3ft from the hole on each hole. Jack would probably disagree. And Crenshaw. And a few others. This tournament has turned into another US Open, which I hate.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted April 7, 2007 I love it. Now, let's get the winds to 50 mph, and get it even colder. Make 'em suffer. That Eldrick guy seems to always putt great here also. Probably because he doesn't overprepare like hardworkin' gritty likeable Phil.

megaadvice 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 My prediction, Tiger to win with a score of leval par. Everyone is just blowing up, but it is a very hard course.
