Hawk 34 Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 Anyway, over the course of my upbringing, I've always been led to believe that tattoos were socially undesirable, and I don't think anything in this thread has made me reconsider that. Horror movie villains? Talk about the cultural dregs. You mean the whores on Wilfy's leg didn't convince you? I'm still trying to grasp the logistics of a hockey-masked homunculus hatching from his shoulder. What? I like Friday the 13th. I collect the comics. I collect the figures. I have t-shirts, posters and all other types of shit. I just like the films. I like pro wrestling, I collect the dvds and sometimes buy PPV's. I owned a couple of t-shirts in my youth. I just like wrasslin. You won't see me with a tattoo of Chris Benoit putting Hulk Hogan in a cross-face on my arm.

I think that's still pretty much an accurate statement, Czech. 20 years from now, a new generation, maybe not? For now, I'd say the majority would view a person with a tattoo as a criminal or a thug or trash etc. etc. Or a person clinging to their childhood... yes that too

People get tattoos of the stuff they love all the time. Do you know how many people have tattoos of stuff from Video games, music, tv, movies, comics, etc...etc...etc? Just because Luke-o has a tattoo of something he loves doesn't mean he's the first and only guy to do it. Hell Hawk, I'm surpised you don't have a ROH or CM Punk related tattoo already.

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr he's not the kind of fucking loser that gets the likeness of a professional wrestler permanently drawn on his body. Oh, and "your not dedicated." Nice firm grasp on English you have there, Scroty. That does nothing to convince anyone that kitschy tattoos aren't the province of the bottom-feeders.
Copper Feel Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 I am of the opinion that tatoos can look cool, but I would never want one myself. I mean what if the operation goes horribly wrong? That respectable dedication to a loved one could quickly become an unremovable smudge across my arm. Edit: and yeah, that lower class stigma is not something I would feel comfortable to carry around.
Craig Th Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 I don't have any tattoos and never will. But here are my friend Paddy's tats. He is a bit of an idiot when it comes to tattoos. He has a bunch more, but I don't feel like putting all of them up.
Black Lushus Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 I will maintain that, unless it's part of a bigger picture on the back, dudes should NEVER have tatts in the "tramp stamp" location...I don't care what it says.
Ripper Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 He looks smart about his. All places that can be easily covered for an appropriate situation. If you get a tattoo on the back of your hand or the front of side of your neck, i am sorry but you aren't very smart. I would get one, but being an artist, I only like the stuff I draw for like 6 months then I am like "I can do so much better than that" and usually do. So getting a tat doesn't seem like the best course of action.
Guest Richard McBeef Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 Did Paddy find a hat that said "Paddy" on the back, or did he commission a custom job?
Black Lushus Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 reminds me of a guy I work with, his name is Wade...so of course he has all sorts of Dwayne Wade merchandise...fucking silly.

Guest Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 They don't have to worry about any women asking them why they have Hulk Hogan on their back, see.
luke-o Posted April 19, 2007 Author Report Posted April 19, 2007 Guess only fat people are Hulkamaniacs?

He is going to school to be a lawyer, so he will be able to cover everything up. This one guy I know has tattoos allll over his arms, neck etc. And he is going to become a Reverend.

Art Sandusky Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 That falls under the Steve-O "I want someone to laugh every time they look at it" tattoo school of thought.
