While I'm sorting out the mess I made with the card, I want to open up two topics for discussion.

 

1. By my probably inaccurate count, we have roughly 6 reliable showers, and 6 not entirely reliable showers but for better or worse we need them around, for an "active" (I use that term loosely) roster of about a dozen people. For which five titles is entirely too many. CC's been trying to come up with contenders, and we're having a hard time with so few people, and since everyone has already faced everyone else in recent weeks.

 

So, the question: should we merge or retire any of the titles we currently have, in order to try and build a little more action around the titles we would keep?

 

2. Given that I'm having a hard time finding matches for people they haven't already had in the past three weeks, I'd like to toss Raynor back into the fray, if only to add another name to the roster and provide a fresh opponent for people. Of course, a booker/marker being active opens a massive Conflict of Interest argument, so I wanted to toss the idea out to you guys and see if you'd be OK with it. And feel free to suggest any/all safeguards we could use to make sure I don't award myself every title ever.

I'm all for bringing in Raynor. I trust someone else would mark your matches anyway so there shouldn't be any conflict of interest to cry about.

 

As for retiring titles, well I'd say the HCG needs to go as there obviously is no interest in that division. Possibly the International as much as it pains me to say it, but there hasn't been but two defenses for Alan since he had the belt.

I'd say HCG as well. Tag Team and International, I think we'd have to see how those shake out, but I only say Tag Team since there's, what, only two 'real' teams in Blood & Thunder (of course I don't write and haven't seen JJ in ages) and Wild and Dangerous? Not counting occasional team-ups like Jimmy and IL. Meanwhile given that most of the roster can compete for it the CW Title still has use.

If anything I'd say the CW should go. What's the point of a Cruiserweight-specific belt when everyone except Drake is a Cruiserweight anyway? The Tag Team belts are essentially worthless at this point, and the International belt is in the position of being a secondary World Title, cut off to the 'lower card' due to the fact it's always in possession of people who, for whatever reason, aren't quite in the World Title picture.

 

I know WC will hate me for suggesting we ditch the CW, but that's the way it is - it's pointless to have a weight-specific title when everyone is in that weight bracket. Lose it.

Cruiserweight and Tag could both go and I wouldn't care. Hardcore provides some interesting matches, but only if people give a fuck about it. We could just staple it to Drea though as a fitting end to it.

Tom had actually brought up retiring the hardcore belt back before he kinda stepped down, but I was all "Let me try and break the record, then we can get rid of it", and since I've broken the record, and I think the only thing left is ELM's nearly 400 days overall with the World belt, then sure, get rid of the Hardcore if you want. I also kinda see the point in ditching the Cruiser belt, but I think that WC should get his rematch first. Also, as said, there's not enough teamage for a tag belt.

 

Raynor returning should work. Huzzah for that. But only as Caveman Chris. That's the lawz0rz. And junk and stuff.

I'm privy to stuff, but for the record nothing is happening with the International so that'd be a good cut. Tag is iffy, that's kinda a token belt for any wrestling company, 'e' or otherwise, but there's not really the competition here even at the best of times.
