Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Well, If you hate booking then I think you're playing the wrong game. I just auto-book whenever I can. I think what I really want to do is control everything without being the booker. I wanna be like Vince McMahon. I want the damn writers to suggest things to me. I wanna be the useless bastard that's holding the company down!
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted October 30, 2002 FYI, the '97 scenario OWNS. It's split up into the "Big Three", so I went with the WWF. Couple of notes... --Everything Bret/Owen/Shawn does turns to GOLD. --The "future" stars (Edge, Christian, Test, D'Lo, Hardyz, Rico, etc.) begin in your developmental area, while I signed Daniels/Corino/Lynn/Kanyon/Rhino/Noble to go there as well. Developing stars kicks mucho ass. --WCW was totally raping WWF as I began the game, but with a few cuts and some key additions (Hennig, Angle and Shamrock), the fed is beginning to turn around. --Watching ECW kick and squirm to keep their stars is great. Actually, it must be fun owning that fed from the start...I might try that out later on... Where did you score that scenario?
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted October 30, 2002 I prefer the 1996 scenerio. I use WCW and my main stars: Benoit Angle RVD Malenko CHAVO~! Eddy Storm DiBiase Arn Flair Raven Taz I have the Hardyz, Rhino, Edge, Christian, AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels, Tajiri, and Jamie Noble in WCW Jr. (My development, run by Bill Watts). Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted October 30, 2002 I love this 1997 scenario too, I got it off the EWR Board, Zack. I'm going to try and sign some cruisers for a new cruiser title that I'm gonna make.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Are these scenarios for the new versions? I wish the game would tell you how long someone is in rehab for.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted October 30, 2002 For a good download of the scenarios I'm talking about, click here. Malibu, look a little bit down the page to find one entitled "1997", the scenario you're looking for From the EWR message boards, here is a hopefully helpful way to use these scenarios... Okay, first you want to copy your old files into another folder, so everytime you start a game you're not playing the same scenario. So make a new folder in your EWR folder (or elsewhere, if you'd like), and put in your data files. Now take the files you downloaded for the scenario and paste them into the original data file. Start a new game, and it should be there. Then save it, and when you're done copy the files from the new folder you made back into the original data folder, and then you should be set. And Satanico, this scenario, as well as others on that link, are Version 1.3 and 1.4 compatible (just read the info about each scenario to see their version compatibility). Guest Insanityman Report post Posted October 31, 2002 God damn I hate you EWR. With every bone in my body. Why? After a three month feud, repear three months, Jericho gets an injury. So evil...
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted October 31, 2002 Insanityman, I hate when that happens too. I had Kurt Angle in a World Title feud with Steve Austin that was beutiful and right when I was going to end it off, some crappy eye injury put him out for a few months. Oh well, I guess it's more like reality though, where these things are unpredictable.
Guest Insanityman Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Yeah, it's still a great game and all... but man I could get very pissed at it. Almost as bad as when I get pissed at GTA 3. Other than that I'm calm for video games. *Smashes starcraft CD in rage*
Guest Leena Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Even if some freak injury happens, you can always cheat if you don't want to get pissed.
Guest papacita Report post Posted November 1, 2002 The funny thing about my EWR is that only the managers seem to get injured. Right now, Bill Alphonso, Tylene Buck and Paul Heyman are all out on the injured list for 10 months.
Guest Leena Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Heyman always got injured for me too. I usually edit the game to remove it, because he can't get an eye injury every year just by talking.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted November 1, 2002 I recently had a nice feud with Austin going in my World Title scene and he got majorly injured out of nowhere. This is the only thing that really agitates me with the game. I hate when crap like that happens. -SP
Guest JHawk Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Does anybody know where I can get updated rosters to update my game?
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted November 1, 2002 When a guy gets injured during a feud, what is the best thing to do? Should I just leave the feud as it is and wait till the injured wrestler comes back, or just end the feud off-camera?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Never end a feud off camera unless you have no other option. It severly hurts both wrestlers overness.
Guest Leena Report post Posted November 1, 2002 If you're a backyard or small fed on the lower levels, you can do end a feud off-camera, and it won't affect the over totals. My suggestion would be if an injury is 3 or less months, to let the feud sit and wait until he returns from injury. If it's longer, fire the injured worker, and the feud will just end with nobody losing heat.
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Actually, my bad, it's Brian Pillman and hes in rehab. They don't say how long he'll be back in.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted November 1, 2002 I've ended feuds do to injury without anything being affected. Benoit injured his neck (deja vu?) and got put out for 12 months, thus putting his feud with American Dragon in jeopardy. With no other option, and not wanting to have to hold onto a feud slot for over a year, I ended it, and neither guy (who were in their high 80's) got affected. On a related note, I have 4 medics with stats between 85 and 100, yet there is ALWAYS an injury, and it's always someone in the midst of a push. Masato Tanaka, Jimmy Yang, Bret Hart and Benoit have all fallen victim to long injuries (Tanaka got a knee injury and will be out 16 months!) while guys like JC Ice that I use sparringly get hurt somehow and are only out for 2-4 months. Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted November 2, 2002 how long does rehab last. Scott Hall has been in rehab for 3 months, and he has my god damn heavyweight belt
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted November 2, 2002 Scott Hall has been in rehab for 3 months, and he has my god damn heavyweight belt I guess you can't just strip him of the belt, then? If you get tired of waiting, retire the belt, then re-create it. A few good matches will boost the belt's rating back up. I restarted my WWE game. Gee, that sucked. I had to go through and fire everyone again. Took a long damn time, but I'm actually doing better this round. I remembered to put the IC champion in a freakin' feud. Just for fun, I made Paul Heyman the most-over wrestler on my roster. I think I'll make JR a wrestler, too, and have them feud. OUT-OF-SHAPE ANNOUNCERS COLLIDE~! Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 2, 2002 how long does rehab last. Scott Hall has been in rehab for 3 months, and he has my god damn heavyweight belt That's my only major complaint about the game. It doesn't tell you how long people are in rehab for and the length varies so you can't use past rehab stays as an example. I hope enough people have complained on the message board for the game about it to get it fxed in a future update.

Then you don't have to do it every time you start a new game. It's not cheating because you aren't helping yourself out. You are just doing what you'd have to do anyways. Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted November 2, 2002 Longest rehab I've ever had: Juvi. 8 months. I don't think I even used him...
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 2, 2002 To further the "so and so scenario rules" theme... The 1989 scenario is great stuff. I've started a 1989 WWF and NWA. I haven't changed much about NWA other than getting rid of some bums. I just added more talented wrestlers to improve the alread great wrestling in NWA. I got rid of 90% of the circus act shit on my 89 WWF. I added alot of talented wrestlers in place of the circus acts. WWF will now be more like 89 NWA. I hate to have to feature Hooogan, but i can't just get rid of him yet. I'll be slowly phasing out Hogan, but he will still be featured until the talented wrestlers are ready to take over. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 2, 2002 Here's the major feuds in my 1989 scenario. NWA: Ric Flair vs. Sting for the World Title Road Warriors vs. Midnight Express for the World Tag Titles Ricky Steamboat vs. The Great Muta for the United States Title RnR Express vs. British Bulldogs(Dynamite Kid & Steven Regal) for the United States Tag Titles Lex Luger vs. Chris Adams for the Television Title WWF: Randy Savage vs. Hogan for the World Title Ultimate Warrior vs. Rick Rude for the Intercontinental Title Jake Roberts vs. Ted Dibiase for the Television Title Demolition vs. Brainbusters for the Tag Titles I'm thinking of a adding a lower midcard title to WWF in order to help get my young guys over. I can't think of a good name for the belt and was wondering if any of you had any suggestions.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted November 3, 2002 I restarted my WWE game. Gee, that sucked. I had to go through and fire everyone again. Took a long damn time, but I'm actually doing better this round. If you want to save a bunch of money, do what I do. Put everybody you want to fire in OVW, then close the territory. That releases everybody without having to pay out on their contracts (esp. helpful when you're cutting Big Show, Mark Henry, or any other high-priced guy). If you really want to keep a developmental territory, just open up a new one & find some cheap, young talent.

If you really want to keep a developmental territory, just open up a new one & find some cheap, young talent. All you have to do is push a guy to Upper Midcard then depush him to Opener which will put his morale at 30. Once the person's morale is down to 30 click on Contract Negotiations and then click on OFFER RELEASE. The person will accept the release as they are unhappy and it won't cost you a dime. Guest Insanityman Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Yes, jobbing them out of the federation is a great thing. I've also gotten a person with chrisma or someone who'd draw and then set them up with a feud with someone not over. The guy I want to gain overness will, the other won't... I'll job out the guy who was orignally over.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Well, yeah, you can job them out like that. I just don't want to take the time to do that, I want to get rid of the useless guys right away.
