packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Not the start I was hoping they would have.....
Zetterberg is God Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 There is no way in HELL that they are coming back if they continue to be as sloppy as they have been. Worst start possible and it doesn't look like it's getting that much better. Settlle down boys and actually play like your fucking season is on the line.
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 It doesn't help that our best player is in the box for the first minute of the 2nd period too. I just hate penalties that overlap a period because the team with the powerplay will start with the momentum of the period even if they don't score a goal.
CanadianChris Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Tentative schedule for the Cup finals is out: Game 1 - Monday, May 28 @ANA/DET Game 2 - Wednesday, May 30 @ANA/DET Game 3 - Saturday, June 2 @OTT Game 4 - Monday, June 4 @OTT *Game 5 - Wednesday, June 6 @ANA/DET *Game 6 - Saturday, June 9 @OTT *Game 7 - Monday, June 11 @ANA/DET
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Man this ice is HORRIBILE! How many players/linesman have fell today? Damn heat
Zetterberg is God Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 JESUS CHRIST SCORE A FUCKING POWER PLAY GOAL ALREADY.
Annabelle Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 man, anaheim is so boring. cancerous hockey. the type americans hate. they're just going to trap all game.
Annabelle Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 oh well. key to this series: schneiders injury.
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 It's over. Detroit can't get anything going today, totally getting outplayed tonight. I'll be shocked if Detroit even scores a goal
Zetterberg is God Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Thanks a lot boys for another season of fucking disapointment. At least they dragged it out a bit this time.
Annabelle Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 oh settle down, losers. they are getting outplayed because they are older, have played more, and are spread too thin. i wouldn't consider this season to be a disappointment. besides, this game isn't over. they just can't force it too much.

Explain to me how any season where a number one team doesn't win the Stanley Cup is not a disapointment. While you're at it, explain how they could possibly come back after how this game was going.
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I am NOT disappointed with the Red Wings this year. They were supposed to get eliminated by Calgary because they are more physical. Then they were supposed to get eliminated by San Jose because they are bigger. They overcame the adversity even during the whole regular season too. They are just running thin by playing more games, traveling farther (all road games played on the west coast) and yes the Ducks are real good.
Zetterberg is God Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 The fact that they did all that, had the Ducks by the balls and still lost is not disapointing?

Explain to me how any season where a number one team doesn't win the Stanley Cup is not a disapointment. While you're at it, explain how they could possibly come back after how this game was going. detroit is still getting chances. and look at how anaheim came back when they were getting outplayed. anything can happen in the playoffs. secondly, detroit gets a lot of their poitns against an extremely weak division. furthermore, they are a team that is older. they live further away from the other western conference teams. the travel and other overitme games have killed them. schneiders injury was the death blow. and as much as i hate to admit it, even if detroit wins this series, they'd get smoked by the senators. they just look tired tonight.. sluggish. and i agree with that one statement, having them on the ropes and losing it killed them.
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Of course it's disappointing, they didn't win the Stanley Cup. I guess you can say that any team that doesn't win the Stanley Cup is disappointing, it's just different in Detroit because they make the playoffs every year so the fans expect more I guess.
Zetterberg is God Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Yep, taking MORE penalties is DEFINITELY going to help them come back. And one of the stupidest penalties to take at that.
Annabelle Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 they are taking some really silly penalties.
CanadianChris Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I shudder to think just how bad the ice is going to be for the finals in Anaheim.
Zetterberg is God Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Anglesault? Can you blame me at this point?
Annabelle Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 Anglesault? Can you blame me at this point? at least the tigers are good again this year!
Zetterberg is God Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Anglesault? Can you blame me at this point? at least the tigers are good again this year! I wish I could fall back on baseball but I cheer for the Nats so no dice. Looking forward to football at this point, but am I really when I cheer for the Bills?
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Let's not make this embarassing now. And I'll admit though that we really do miss Scheidner ESPECIALLY on the powerplay. Lidstrom & Schiender from the point are key.
MFer Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Anglesault? Can you blame me at this point? at least the tigers are good again this year! I wish I could fall back on baseball but I cheer for the Nats so no dice. Looking forward to football at this point, but am I really when I cheer for the Bills? That's a random group of teams to cheer for but you're from Canada so I guess it's not quite so odd. Looks like another frustrating end for the Wings...fans probably wouldn't take it so hard if they weren't at the top of the league in points every year.
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I still think the points is a little misleading though. Yes the Red Wings are a good team but they do play Chicago, St. Louis and Columbus so many times a year while Anaheim has a pretty hard division. Will the Blues, Jackets or Blackhawks ever be good anytime soon?

Will the Blues, Jackets or Blackhawks ever be good anytime soon? Good point but a lotta fans probably don't look at it that way. Either way, Detroit's been in the playoffs every year for awhile now and with the 3 Cups in the last decade, expectations are high. They're kinda like the Yankees of hockey.
packwingfn Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 They really are, they've been in the playoffs for like 13 straight years or something

It's not like they were in the Northwest or anything.
