It would be easy enough to set up an applet at chat.thesmartmarks.com or something. If it were integrated into the site rather than someone being forced to have an IRC client to connect they would probably be more likely to visit too. I think the only downside of a chat room connected to the forum, would be that it could cut down on posting a little. Actually, that could be a great thing. Not to get too off topic, but what's with the transition between chat programs, to sites like Myspace and Facebook? In the next week or two, the main page will be going away and the forums will be the main site. I will still have links to the old articles and such. My main goal is keep the main page clean, so the chat will probably be a pop up window from a link on the main page at the bottom or maybe inside a category.
