And this year we had a lot of fun with shop teachers. 1) Our original one was forced to resign for sexual harassment. 2) The replacment got caught having sex with a student and got fired. 3) The next replacment was fired for slapping a student who yelled YOU FUCKING BITCH real loud. 4) The next replacment got called to teach a different class. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2007 My grade twelve Environmental Geography teacher got canned for sexual comments towards the girls soccer team. Our AV Teacher was canned after some scandal. Despite being a catholic high school, one religion teacher was let go for being a total nutcase, like Fred Phelps, Jerry Falwell and Pat Roberston all rolled into one. City suspended him without pay and he was on the verge of being fired and his career destroyed so he hung himself...then the bitch admitted later on that she made it all up. that's the only thing I had close enough to contribute to the thread. That kinda thing just scares me honestly... I've been teaching for 3 years already and I'm fairly young and I teach seniors. It just paranoids the shit out of me that one of them could actually get pissed off with me one day because, god forbid, I get after them for not doing work or something to that effect and then bam, if they're is twisted enough, they could go straight to the principals and possibly accuse me of something. What's bad is that I'm such an easy target since I stay late at school to make copies or work in my classroom and pretty much none of my co-workers are around my immediate area, so it'll be their word against mine. It's just so easy to do it's sad, administration has to take every one of those claims seriously and everyone of those claims goes through the same process of investigation and even if you're not found guilty of it, your reputation is still shot and it still goes under your reviews, so if you wanted to transfer to somewhere else, it'll always follow you. At Home 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2007 Last year, this really fucking russian woman came to teach alg 2 at my school, and she ended up crying after every class because we would find a way to do some problem faster and better than she could (she didn't use the book except for assigning work) and we just told our dean that she sucks.
