BorneAgain Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 So, Batista gets a white limo if he loses? That or killed by the Undertaker at the Great American Bash.
Downhome Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 I think the Boogeyman would have gotten extremely over in the original ECW no matter how badly he sucked. In fact, I think that his black-hole of talent would have made a HUGE ECW star in the 'he's so bad he's actually good at sucking' type of way. That's pretty much how it was for the guy in OVW from what I've seen.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Firebreaker Chip was FROM the Special Forces, not OF. That was actually billed as his hometown in the rankings page for WCW Magazine and PWI. Crazy, eh? And Capetta would announce it that way. JBL arrived via White Limo on Raw in March for his "match" with Shawn Michaels.
Downhome Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 You guys try that Quiznos Baja Chicken yet? I had it for lunch today and it was quite enjoyable. Yep, my lunch today as well. Pretty. Fucking. Good.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 The workrate nerds are about to double-orgasm.
trackc53 Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 hell yeah..ANOTHER AWESOME CORVON ENTRANCE!!!
BorneAgain Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 I miss Cor Von's old humorously contrasting theme music.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Ha, someone ribbed Cor Von and played Scorpio's entrance music, and now Cor Von looks even dumber.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Please, Benoit was wrestling on PPVs in WCW and wrestling 5 minutes down the street from me in the Armory against Jerry Lawler long before he debuted in ECW, Joey.
trackc53 Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Please, Benoit was wrestling on PPVs in WCW and wrestling 5 minutes down the street from me in the Armory against Jerry Lawler long before he debuted in ECW, Joey. The Armory?? that's old school!! I remember ECW running shows there.
BorneAgain Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Please, Benoit was wrestling on PPVs in WCW and wrestling 5 minutes down the street from me in the Armory against Jerry Lawler long before he debuted in ECW, Joey. Funny thing is they'll probably make the same ECW centric quote about Cor Von.
AlexPuma Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 This match can't be bad. Monty Brown is the worst worker, who makes up for it with his fountain of charisma and the POUNCE~! Oh, and Benoit and Punk helps too. I'm a Monty Brown fan.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Why would Benoit sign for this match? He has no beef with Cor Von. He has no beef with Burke. He can't move up the singles ranks towards the ECW Title with a tag team win. There are no ECW Tag Titles to go after. Speak of the devil, they've seemingly forgotten the ECW World Title.
AlexPuma Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Speak of the devil, they've seemingly forgotten the ECW World Title. Could a wrestling brand work without titles?
trackc53 Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 SledgeHammer: they're just throwing random matches together because McMahon died last night.

Duh, he signed on in tribute to Vince. And Vince's death takes priority to the title.

He was good friends with Sean Royal and Chris Champion and resents the likes of Burke and Cor Von stealing their name.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 The idea of Chris Benoit being treated as the #1 Star of an entire wrestling promotion is a neat one. Yeah, I know ECW isn't a real promotion but still.
The Truthiness Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Speak of the devil, they've seemingly forgotten the ECW World Title. Could a wrestling brand work without titles? I always thought the same thing. I don't think so but it'd be cool if some company tried the idea. The trick is how would you decide who is "the guy"?
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 BorneAgain just scored a million points.
trackc53 Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 they should just turn ECW into the brand where everyone stiffs each other.
The Amazing Rando Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 they should just turn ECW into the brand where everyone stiffs each other. Heyman already did that.
Hawk 34 Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 they should just turn ECW into the brand where everyone stiffs each other. Only if Heyman comes back. Fuck Rando.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 What is Marcus Cor Von's gimmick, exactly? He's pretty short, BTW. Looked like a cruiser in that battle royal last night, despite his upper body. I don't think he's ever been pinned or made to submit since his debut.
The Amazing Rando Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 they should just turn ECW into the brand where everyone stiffs each other. Only if Heyman comes back. Fuck Rando. I don't need advertising. I'm amazing for a reason.
Downhome Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Tazz and Joey don't even know what happened. Now that's bullshit.
BorneAgain Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Don't know if they're turning Benoit heel, but if they are, they fired Sabu a month early. Him breaking Sabu's neck again would have been a solid exit for the latter.
Hawk 34 Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 That was a tribute to McMahon. RING THE DAMN BELL.
