Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Haha. Maybe they can get Reyshawn Terry later and trade for McCants or Marvin Williams to finish the dream.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 How in the hell is that better than Hawes. Hawes can actually score on the block. Noah can block shots, play with alot of energy and rebound....kinda like Ben Wallace or Tyrus Thomas...you know...those guys that Chicago already has. Chicago needed this pick about as much as Charlotte needed theirs. They should have traded their picks.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 i'll laugh if the Hawks were trying for Law as their PG and someone else grabs him. Then they will just take Critteron or trade the pick to Seattle. they will be fine.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 What team is going to trade a lowpost scorer(which chicago needs) for Anderson Varajo with better passing ability?
Gert T 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Looking slightly ahead, if you were Detroit at #15, wouldn't you roll the dice and go get Sean Williams. They got another pick at #27 and plenty of guards that will be available around there.

Amir Johnson, Antonio McDyess, Rasheed Wallace, and whats his face(name is escaping me right now) They are 4-5 deep at the Center and PF position. They need to get some shooting help and someone that can create their own shot off the dribble.

They got another pick at #27 and plenty of guards that will be available around there. the reports are that they've got their hearts set on Stuckey. or maybe a point guard. i agree detroit doesn't really need a 4, at least not at this position in the draft. I suppose if there's a good real Center (as opposed to PF types like Maxiell and Amir) it might be worth looking at, but any C that good would already be taken. Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Good pick for Sacramento. Well, I'm glad somebody thinks so... as a Kings Fan, I wish I did, too...
Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Brad Miller never had the post skills that Hawes has. Seroiusly. A big that can really score on the block and pass well out the double team but doesn't rebound or block shots that well. Where the hell else would he fit better than Chicago where they have guys like Thomas and Wallace who can rebound and block shots with the best of them? Dumb move by Chicago. Gert T 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Well my thinking was if they wanted to move Sheed and Dice is getting up in age, plus the relative depth of guards in this draft. Ripper, you ready for Julian Wright or Al Thornton at number 11???
Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 They are taking Law..they won't screw me like this again.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Jermaine O'Neal is on the block right? Why couldn't Chicago go after him? Ben Gordon, Noah and a contract for O'Neal + a player or two? HOLY SHIT ATL TOOK A GUARD!!!!!!!!!!
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Wow, Law looks so thrilled to be going to Atlanta. Good pick by the Hawks, fills a need and gives them a pretty good player. Also, I love the NBA draft. Ten plus picks in less than 40 minutes, that's fantastic.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Atlanta gets their man. Good job. The Hawks look very potent, but will that translate into a winning team?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Atlanta gets their man. Good job. The Hawks look very potent, but will that translate into a winning team? I say that it'll take another year for them to be in the playoffs but I can see them being in the hunt for that eighth spot the whole way now. They are having a very smart draft. I really wish Philly would draft Al Thornton, give me a reason to go to an NBA game. ETA: And they didn't so now I have no interest in the 76ers at all and the Wiz aren't up high enough to get him. Damn.

Noah can block shots, play with alot of energy and rebound....kinda like Ben Wallace or Tyrus Thomas...you know...those guys that Chicago already has. Of all the people to be right, it was Bill Simmons who said that Noah was a Skiles-type player - this was a move that fit the vision of Skiles' team. I think that while the Bulls need a low-post prescence, they should see how Tyrus develops this season. I understand that TT is not the player that'll solve that need, but you can't stunt his growth by sitting him on the bench while you try to develop Hawes into an NBA-ready post player. If I were Paxson, I would not have taken Hawes, but I would've made a trade to solve my low-post need before people started questioning my draft direction. EDIT: I just like the idea of developing Tyrus to use him as trade bait.

Also with how volatile Skiles is, they probably need like 20 low post defender types so that when 10 of them go in the doghouse, there's another 10 to step in.
