Guest • Report post Posted August 3, 2007 I count Rantsylvanaiaiaiaiaa as this board, so I have NO idea what my first post was. It was defiantly something to do with wrestling. I did when I was 17, a little odd but defiantly worth it. Not too many bads. I really loved the book. Defiantly number one. Breakin' all the rules, especially the ones about how to spell words. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted August 3, 2007 It's just an observation, Mole. I've made it as well, although I've defiantly never started a thread about it.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2007 I legitimately laughed out loud. First time since 2004, that wasn't at one of my own posts.

Copper Feel 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2007 It occasionally proves problematic for my otherwise good spelling, but luckily I can usually just use "obviously" in it's place.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2007 I've never been able to spell that word. I spell it defiently and the spellcheck tells me defiantly. Perhaps you should try sounding it out phonetically. That would defiantly be of some help.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted August 3, 2007 def-in-ite-ly! TSM: Defiantly helping others pass spelling tests.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2007 I just do not understand how grown men in their 20's, current and former college students no less, can misspell words that we learned in 2nd grade. I'm not just talking about Mole. There are more than a few other examples.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted August 6, 2007 I think the most annoying grammatical error I've seen is the one where people feel apostrophes go into every plural word. My ex did that back in high school, and, 6 years later, continues to do so.

Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Report post Posted August 23, 2007 I don't know if girls are guilty of more egregious English errors, but I do know that having been brought up to believe that guys were stupid and girls were smart all through elementary school, when girls say really dumb shit, it hits me harder, so to speak. Guy says "that was defiantly the best movie ever," I point and laugh. Girl says "I'm self-conscience of my knees," I point and laugh all the same, but then part of me dies a little inside because I feel like I was deceived all these years, and now there's another girl that certainly isn't marryin' material. Look: I don't know why I was under this misconception, because it's not like I had any sort of unusual family structure. I do know that my 2nd and 3rd grade teachers were flagrantly sexist, though, and had little respect for the boys in the class, so maybe that's part of it. (3rd grade teacher found me "uncontrollable" and put me on Ritalin, for the record.) I also acknowledge that it's ridiculous to write people off because maybe they're not as capable of verbal expression as I'd like them to be, but I just can't help myself.
